 *Most Precious Gift*

[[--- Episode One ---]]
-------------------------------

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

How many girls have been far more merciful and beneficial to their parents than their brothers? How many times has a son been a source of grief for his parents, to the point that they wished he was never born?

Today, if you go to hospitals, when they find out whether the foetus is male of female by doing an ultrasound scan, if it is male they tell the family, and if it is female they say nothing.

*We Are not More in Jahileeyyah Period:*

How similar things are today to those times of ignorance (Jahileeyyah)!.. If you visit any maternity hospital in a Muslim community, and look around at the faces of those to whom daughters have been born, listening to what they say and seeing how they are, you will see a strange similarity between many of these people and the people of the Jaahiliyyah, of whom Allaah says:

وَإِذَا بُشِّرَ أَحَدُهُم بِٱلْأُنثَىٰ ظَلَّ وَجْهُهُۥ مُسْوَدًّا وَهُوَ كَظِيمٌ

“And when the news of the birth of a female child is brought to any of them, his face becomes dark, and he is filled with inward grief! 📚 [Qur'an: Surah Al-Nahl 16, verse 58]

*The Level Have Changed:*

Islam have come and when Islam was revealed, it decreed a daughter – like a son.. Yes. Children are gift from Allah (swt). He granted to whomever He wishes of His worshipers. This is stated in Surah Ash-Shura 42:49 to 50,

“For Allah only is the kingship of the heavens and the earth; He creates whatever He wills; He may bestow daughters to whomever He wills, and sons to whomever He wills. Or may mix them, the sons and daughters; and may make barren whomever He wills; indeed He is All Knowing, Able.” 📚[Surah al-Shoora, Verses 49-50]

Muslim Faithful!

We noticed in the above verses that the mention of *"daughters"* came first before that of sons, and the scholars commented on this saying: “This is to hearten daughters and encourage kindness towards them, because many fathers feel burdened by receiving a daughter.

Therefore,

Every parents who is blessed with a daughter or daughters should thank and be grateful to Almighty Allah. Yes. And this kind of gratitude should continue in every family if Allah (swt) blesses them with children whether they are boys or girls.

KNOWING ALLAH THROUGH HIS NAMES AND ATTRIBUTES

THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Khamis. 12th day of Dhul-Qa'adah, 1444AH (Thursday, 1st June, 2023). *_KNOWING ALLAH THROUGH HIS NAMES AND ATTRIBUTES _*. BismilLah.  The first and most significant pillar of imaan (faith) in Islam is belief in ALLAH. As Muslims, we believe in ALLAH in accordance with HIS beautiful names and attributes. ALLAH has revealed HIS names repeatedly in the Holy Quran primarily for us to understand who HE is. Learning and memorizing the names of ALLAH will help us to identify the correct way to believe in HIM. There is nothing more sacred and blessed than understanding the names of ALLAH and living by them. How do we expect to worship, love, fear, and trust our Lord, The Almighty ALLAH, if we don’t know who HE is? ALLAH says in the Quran: And to ALLAH belong the best names, so invoke HIM by them.. (Quran 7:180). ALLAH, there is no deity except HIM. To HIM belongs the best names. (Quran 20:8). HE is ALLAH, the Creator, the Inventor, the Fashioner; to HI
