WHEN THINGS BECOME UNBEARABLE, TURN TO ALLĀH

*WHEN THINGS BECOME UNBEARABLE, TURN TO ALLĀH.* "O' Allāh, I ask You for forgiveness and well-being." Ibn al-Jawzi said: "Something was causing me a great deal of grief and distress, and I started to think long and hard about how to get out of this situation by any means, but I could not find any way out. Then I came across this verse: *"... And whosoever fears Allāh and keeps his duty to Him, He will make a way for him to get out (of every difficulty)." [Qur'an 65:2]* I realised that taqwā (piety, fearing Allāh) is the way out of every kind of grief and distress. As soon as I followed the path of taqwā, I found the way out." I say: for the wise men, taqwā is the way that leads to everything good, for calamity happens only as the result of sin, and it can only be lifted through repentance. Sadness, grief and worry are punishments for sins that you have committed, by falling short in your prayers, or backbiting about a Muslimah, or taking

Islam takes the matter of debt very seriously and warns against it and urges the Muslim to avoid it as much as possible. It was narrated from ‘Aa’ishah (may ALLAAH be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of ALLAAH be upon him) used to say in his prayer: “Allaahumma inni a’oodhi bika min al-ma’tham wa’l-maghram (O Allaah, I seek refuge with You from sin and heavy debt).” Someone said to him: “How often you seek refuge from heavy debt!” He said: “When a man gets into debt, he speak and tells lies, and he makes a promise and breaks it.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari (832) and Muslim (589). Al-Nasaa’i (4605) narrated that Muhammad ibn Jahsh (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: We were sitting with the Messenger of ALLAAH (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) when he raised his head towards

CAN YOU MARRY SOME YOU HAD SEX WITH?

*CAN YOU MARRY SOME YOU HAD SEX WITH?* Many people among Muslims engage in the act of Zina (adultery) once or many times in their lifetime. And later, they feel the need to marry each other. So the question is can they get married? First opinion (Shafi'i and Maliki) Many scholars such as above, believe that people who commit Zina can marry each other but only if they REPENT. And by repentance, they need to abstain from the act. Then, the female involved needs to undergo a process called Istibra, i.e. a waiting period in which she experiences 3 menstrual cycles. This is in order to make sure that she is not pregnant and she is not carrying an unlawful child. Second opinion. (Hanafi) They believe even if you get married, you need to re-marry again by making a new contract. Perhaps you can do it in secret by asking an imam to renew your vows. You must not tell him what you did. Source: Al-Insaaf, 8/132; Kashshaaf al-Qinaa‘, 5/83. Then on one side, Allah ta'alah makes

THESE PEOPLE ARE NOT HAPPY

*THESE PEOPLE ARE NOT HAPPY* Calamities make people call upon Allāh. Do not look at those who are living a life of luxury and extravagance, for they are to be pitied, not envied. People whose only concern is to spend extravagantly on themselves and indulge in their every whim and desire and seek pleasure - whether it is permissible or forbidden - are not happy. Rather, they are living a hard life of stress and worry, because no one who deviate from the path of Allāh and disobeys Him will ever find happiness. So, do not think that those who live a life of luxury and extravagance are happy and content, not at all. Some poor women living in mud and huts are better off than those who sleep on feather beds and sheets of brocade and silk in lofty palaces, because the poor woman who believes in Allāh, the Exalted, and worships Him is better off than the one who has gone astray from the path of Allāh. *"Happiness exists in you and you should focus your efforts on yourself."*

Working with bad colleagues or studying with bad mates is a challenge for all Muslims today. Islam is a complete way of life as such if we want to succeed both on earth and the hereafter, we must adhere to the teachings of Islam. Our lifestyle must be a source of daawah (preaching to non Muslims). Instead of trying to cope with the lifestyle of those around you, you must rather live an Islamic lifestyle that others may wish to question you about which may turn to be the opportunity to sell the beauty and truthfulness of Islam to them. In our modern educational system fellow students can have a devastating effect on the moral and piety of a Muslim. These pressures should never be underestimated, which can intimidate a Muslim into taking drugs, smoking, 'hanging out' with a socialize friends; to nightclubs, and having i

THE STORY OF WISE YOUNG MUSLIM BOY . (who answered three questions of challenge )

THE STORY OF WISE YOUNG MUSLIM BOY . (who answered three questions of challenge ) Many years ago, during the time of the Tâbi'în (the generation of Muslims after the Sahâbah), Baghdâd was a great city of Islam. In fact, it was the capital of the Islamic Empire and, because of the great number of scholars who lived there, it was the center of Islamic knowledge. One day, the ruler of Rome at the time sent an envoy to Baghdad with three challenges for the Muslims. When the messenger reached the city, he informed the khalîfah that he had three questions which he challenged the Muslims to answer. The khalîfah gathered together all the scholars of the city and the Roman messenger climbed upon a high platform and said, "I have come with three questions. If you answer them, then I will leave with you a great amount of wealth which I have brought from the king of Rome." As for the questions, they were: "What was there before Allah?" "

*ENTER THE GARDEN OF KNOWLEDGE* *"... And whosoever fears Allāh and keeps his duty to Him, He will make His matter easy for him." [Qur'an 65:4]* One of the means of finding happiness is understanding Islam, for learning about Islam brings contentment and pleases the Lord. As the prophet (Blessings and Peace be upon him) said: *"When Allāh intends good for a person, He grants him understanding of religion."* So read easily- available books of knowledge and understanding of Islam, such as Riyād as-Sālihīn, Figh as-Sunnah, Figh as-Dalīl, easy Tafsīrs (interpretations) and useful essays. Remember that the best of your deeds is to know what Allāh meant in His Book and what the prophet (Blessings and peace be upon him) meant in his sunnah, so study the Glorious Qur'an a great deal with your sisters, memorise whatever you can of it, listen to and act upon it, because ignorance of Islam leads to darkness and anxiety in the heart. RACE, DISCRIMINATION ETC ARE FORBIDDEN IN ISLAM

THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Arbaà, 23rd day of Shawwaal (Wednesday 26th June, 2019). *_RACE, DISCRIMINATION ETC ARE FORBIDDEN IN ISLAM _*. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. It's a sad reality that discrimination has become part of Muslims attitude towards each other. In Europe or abroad in particular, you go to some masjids especially those dominated by the middle east brothers and sisters, they look at you as if you shouldn't be part of them. Some don't even stand shoulder to shoulder with you and they hardly ask for your wellbeing even if you missed some days absence to masjid. To even get them to mourn with you when you loose your relative is difficult for them just because of our colour. Islam strictly rejects the whole notion of racism and condemns it to its very core. The religion of Islam stands on a solid foundation based on the concept of mutual love and brotherhood, which in essence, out rightly rejects discrimination based on color, race, ethnicity, bloo

In this world, however, happiness is relative. You will not get everything you want; there will always be some problems, sickness, adversity and trials. So, be grateful at times of ease and patient at times of of hardship. Do not be too idealistic and expect good health with no sickness, richness with no poverty, happiness with nothing to spoil your joy, a husband with no negative aspects or a wife with no negative aspects, a friend with no faults. STEPS IN CURING OUR DEPRESSION

THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Ath-thalaatha, 22nd day of Shawwaal (Tuesday 25th June, 2019). *_STEPS IN CURING OUR DEPRESSION_*. BismilLahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Let's note that most of our problems in life such as depression are due to our disobedience to ALLAH. Some of us claim to love ALLAH but by mouth not by action. One of the means to resolve all that is sincere Tau’bah (Repentance): The heart, brain, soul, body etc cannot find peace of mind if we don't obey the rules of its CREATOR, ALLAH. Depression is caused by displeasing Almighty ALLAH. When a person transgresses the Laws of ALLAH, he/she is inflicted with various types of harms such as depression automatically. It is for this reason we are taught in Islam that Whoever makes Istighfaar in abundance and sincerely, ALLAH will make a way out for him from every difficulty, free him from depression and anxiety and ALLAH will grant him sustenance from avenues he will not imagine. “Why should ALLAH punish you if you

Excellence of meeting with a smiling Countenance and Politeness in Speech

THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Ithnayn, 21st day of Shawwaal (Monday 24th June, 2019). *Excellence of meeting with a smiling Countenance and Politeness in Speech.* BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. ALLAH, the Exalted, says: "And lower your wings for the believers (be courteous to the fellow-believers).'' (15:88) "And had you been severe and harsh-hearted, they would have broken away from about you.'' (3:159). Adi bin Hatim (May ALLAH be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of ALLAH (sallalLaahu Alaihi Wasallam) said, "Guard yourselves against the Fire (of Hell) even if it be only with half a date-fruit (given in charity); and if you cannot afford even that, you should at least say a good word.''
