 *Qur'an: A huge loss*


During the time of sahaba (companions of the Prophet) Qur’an was not available in paper form. It was stored on wood, skin of animals, leaves and so on. Yet, the sahaba managed to read and memorized the Qur’an. Today, Allah has blessed us with technology, such that we have paper copies of the Qur’an, and Apps on our mobile phones that are capable of viewing the Qur’an for us or on computers in form of software.


During those days if someone refused to read because there was no complete compilation of the Qur’an, he or she had enough justification. But today, here in this life, we have one thousand ways to download or buy copies of the Qur’an. Sadly our phones are full of nuisance Apps, porn, social networks, music, Netflix etc. But not a single App about our deen. This is a huge loss my dear brothers and sisters in islam. This is a huge loss. What possible reason do we have for not reading this holy book?


A Jewish man said if Qur’an were to be revealed for the Jews, they would have embraced it day and night. Qur’an is such a blessing. I urge you after reading this post to go and make an intention to start reading Qur’an at least once a day. Download the Apps on your phone or computers. 


May Allah grant us strength to do this. Ameen
