*The excuse of not reading the Qur’an*
Lots of people who can't read the Qur’an give a flimsy reason that they can't read Arabic. Here is what i think. When you were born, you couldn't speak any language, you couldn't write, when you became a scientists or engineer, you were not born with science or engineering. But you took your time and learned. Each time you need to improve your career, you go for training and you are learn something new.
When it comes to worldly knowledge, which only benefits you in this temporary world, you go to UK or US and get a degree by spending millions. But for your hereafter, you don't have time, you cannot make the time, you are occupied. Subhanallah. Is that what you will say to Allah? Let's stop lying to ourselves. Most of us work in the career which is more difficult to learn than Arabic and Qur’an. My two year old cannot speak his mother tongue, but he can recite the Qur’an. So it is all about how ready and committed you are. Qur’an is made simple. If you wish to learn, you find it easy, if you don't wish to learn, you find it difficult.
Most of us watch all the TV series out there. You know all the football teams and their players. You know every new porn star. You know thousands of English vocabularies. But shamefully you don't know the words of your creator. What kind of servant are you?
May Allah forgive our shortcomings. Do something about it before it is too late.
