*Severity of the Hellfire*

➖➖➖

Allah ﷻ says in the Qur'an:

*يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ ٱتَّقُواْ رَبَّكُمۡۚ إِنَّ زَلۡزَلَةَ ٱلسَّاعَةِ شَيۡءٌ عَظِيمٞ*

_O humanity! Fear your Lord, for the [violent] quaking at the Hour is surely a dreadful thing._

[22:1]

_

Allah ﷻ commands His servants to have Taqwa of Him, He informs them of the terrors of the Day of Resurrection which will come to them with its earthquakes and other horrors, as He says:

*إِذَا زُلْزِلَتِ الأَرْضُ زِلْزَالَهَا*

_When the earth is shaken with its [final] earthquake._

*وَ أَخرَجَتِ الأَرضُ أَثْقَالَهَا*

_And the earth discharges its burdens._

[99:1-2]

Meaning, it will throw forth that which is in it of the dead.

_

The Quaking of the Earth will displace the graves! 

In another Ayah,

*وَإِذَا ٱلْقُبُورُ بُعْثِرَتْ*

_And when the contents of the graves are scattered._

[82:4]

_

Ponder upon this scene! 

Ponder upon yourself! 

_

Then Allah ﷻ says 

*يَوْمَ تَرَوْنَهَا تَذْهَلُ كُلُّ مُرْضِعَةٍ عَمَّآ أَرْضَعَت*

_The day you shall see it, every nursing mother shall forget her nursing._

Means, she will be distracted by the horror of what she is seeing, which will make her forget the one who is the dearest of all to her and to whom she shows the most compassion. Her shock will make her neglect her infant at the very moment of breastfeeding, 

*وَتَضَعُ كُلُّ ذَاتِ حَمْلٍ حَمْلَهَا*

_and every pregnant one will drop her load,_

Means, the Horror will cause them to have a miscarriage in that moment.

Such is the extreme trauma of the day of Judgement.

 *وَتَرَى ٱلنَّاسَ سُكَٰرَىٰ* 

_and you shall see mankind as in a drunken state_

The severity of Qiyamah will cause them to lose their minds,

 *وَمَا هُم بِسُكَٰرَىٰ* 

_Yet they won't be drunken._

*وَلَٰكِنَّ عَذَابَ ٱللَّهِ شَدِيدٌۭ*

_But the punishment of Allah is severe._

[22:2]

_

Allah ﷻ ends the Ayah with this, as if to say, "If you think Qiyamah is bad, *Hellfire is worse!*"

_

*سبحان الله*

Fear your Lord! 

Al-Nu’man ibn Bashir رضي الله عنه reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

_“Verily, the most lightly punished of the people of Hellfire on the Day of Resurrection is a man under whose feet are placed two hot coals by which his brain boils.”_

[Sahih al-Bukhārī 6193, Sahih Muslim 213]

This is the lightest punishment! 

So imagine the severity of the other Punishments! 

*رَبَّنَآ إِنَّنَآ ءَامَنَّا فَاغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ*

_“Our Lord! We have indeed believed, so forgive us our sins and save us from the punishment of the Fire"_

[3:16]

_

So let us repent to Allah ﷻ now, and start a life of obedience!

Wallahi it will be too late only when your soul is taken, or the sun rises from the west!

_

May Allah ﷻ forgive us and protect us from the Hellfire

*آمِيْن يَارَبَّ الْعَالَمِينْ*
