*Rights of the Wife*

Allaah ﷻ says in the Qur'an:

*وَلَهُنَّ مِثۡلُ ٱلَّذِي عَلَيۡهِنَّ بِٱلۡمَعۡرُوفِۚ وَلِلرِّجَالِ عَلَيۡهِنَّ دَرَجَةٞۗ وَٱللَّهُ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ*

_Women have rights similar to those of men equitably, although men have a degree !(of responsibility) above them. And Allaah is Almighty, All-Wise._

[Al-Baqara 2:228]

Abu Huraira (رضي الله عنه) narrated:⁣

The Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ) said: _*“The most complete of the believers in faith, is the one with the best character among them. And the best of you are those who are best to your women.”⁣*_

[Graded Hasan Sahih in Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1162]⁣

Narrated by Abu Huraira

Allaah 's Apostle (ﷺ) said,

_*"Treat women nicely, for a women is created from a rib, and the most curved portion of the rib is its upper portion, so, if you should try to straighten it, it will break, but if you leave it as it is, it will remain crooked. So treat women nicely."⁣*_

[Sahih al-Bukhari 3331]⁣

Narrated by Mu’awiyah ibn Haydah

_I said, *“O Messenger of Allaah, what are the rights of the wife of any one of us over him?”* He (ﷺ) said: *“That you should feed her when you feed yourself, clothe her when you clothe yourself, you should not hit her on the face, you should not curse her and you should not forsake her except in the house.”⁣*_

[Musnad Ahmad 20025 and Sunan Ab Dawood 2142, Shaykh al-Albani said concerning this hadeeth in Saheeh Abi Dawood: (it is) hasan saheeh]⁣

Narrated by Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas

Allaah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, _*“You will be rewarded for whatever you spend for Allaah's sake even if it were a morsel which you put in your wife's mouth.”⁣*_

[Sahih al-Bukhari 56]

From the above, what is clear is a Muslim who believes in Allaah (ﷻ) and His Messenger (ﷺ) will be merciful upon his wife/wives and not otherwise.

Be the best to your woman in replica of our role model, the Prophet (ﷺ) as Aisha (رضي الله عنها) reported that:

_"The Messenger of Allaah, (ﷺ), said, *“The best of you are the best to their families, and I am the best to my family.”*..._

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will ...

One of the question asked is can a Christian enter Jannah today?

One of the question asked is can a Christian enter Jannah today? Alhamdulillah, it is clear from Quran and hadiths that any christian who dies believing Jesus is God or son of God and do not believe in prophet Muhammad Peace be Upon Him will enter hellfire. Allah says, Al-Ma'idah 5:17 They have certainly disbelieved who say that Allāh is Christ, the son of Mary. Say, "Then who could prevent Allāh at all if He had intended to destroy Christ, the son of Mary, or his mother or everyone on the earth?" And to Allāh belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them. He creates what He wills, and Allāh is over all things competent.

PURIFICATION OF THE HEART

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm al-khamis, 20th day of Swafar 1447AH, Thursday, 14th August 2025. *_PURIFICATION OF THE HEART_*. BismilLah.  A sister asked me yesterday how we can purify ourselves to achieve the immense benefits mentioned in our reminder yesterday.  The command to purify our hearts from sins was an essential Islamic teaching ever since the early stages of the revelation in Mecca. This is known as “purification of the soul” (tazkiyyat an-nafs).   ALLAH Azzawajal says: He has succeeded who purifies the soul, and he has failed who corrupts the soul. Surah Ash-Shams 91:9-10. Also, ALLAH Azzawajal says: A day when there will be no benefit in wealth or children, but only in he who comes to ALLAH Azzawajal with a pure heart. Surah Ash-Shu’ara 26:88-89.  We learn from these verses that our success in the Hereafter depends upon the purification of our hearts in this life. We must purify our hearts from spiritual sins such as greed, malice, envy, arrog...
