BELIEF IN THE ANGELS

*BELIEF IN THE ANGELS*

Among the six pillars of Islām is the belief in the Angels. Eemaan cannot be established without this pillar.

Belief in the Angels entails believing in their existence and believing in the duties that they carry out in the universe.

The Angels are one of Allāh's (ﷻ) creations, which He created for the purpose of worshipping Him and carrying out His orders in the universe.

Allāh (ﷻ) sends His Angels in order to execute His Commands. So they are a creation from the world of the unseen. We don't see them, yet we believe in them with a firm resolution that doubt cannot penetrate. This is because Allāh (ﷻ) has informed us about about them, and likewise, His Messenger (ﷺ) has informed us about them in such a definitive manner that causes us to believe in them.

Allāh (ﷻ) says:

_Righteousness is not that you turn your faces toward the east or the west, but [true] righteousness is [in] one who believes in Allaah, the Last Day, the angels, the Book, and the prophets._

*(Al-Baqarah 2:177)*

And He says:

_The Messenger has believed in what was revealed to him from his Lord, and [so have] the believers. All of them have believed in Allaah and His angels and His books and His messengers._

*(Al-Baqarah 2:285)*

_

The Angels were created from light, as is reported in a hadeeth that Allāh (ﷻ) created the Angels from light and He created the jinns from the fire, and He created humans from dirt.

*From their attributes:*

1. They are the greatest of Allāh's (ﷻ) armies.

Allāh (ﷻ) says:

_It is He who sent down tranquility into the hearts of the believers that they would increase in faith along with their [present] faith. And to Allaah belong the soldiers of the heavens and the earth, and ever is Allaah Knowing and Wise._

*(Al-Fath 48:4)*

2. They have great physical composure, as Allāh (ﷻ) mentioned this about them in His saying:

_[All] praise is [due] to Allaah, Creator of the heavens and the earth, [who] made the angels messengers having wings, two or three or four. He increases in creation what He wills. Indeed, Allaah is over all things competent._

*(Fatir 35:1)*

This means there are some Angels that have two wings, some have three wings and some have four wings. And  some Angels have more than that, for the Prophet (ﷺ) saw Angel Jibreel and he had 600 wings - each wing blocking the horizon

3. They possess great power, by Allāh's (ﷻ) permission. What indicates their great strengths is that if Allāh (ﷻ) commands just one of them, then indeed he is able to let out an awful cry in the world, thus destroying the creations of the earth, as occurred with the people of Thamood, who were seized by a loud scream.

Allāh says:

_Indeed, We sent upon them one shriek [i.e., blast from the sky], and they became like the dry twig fragments of an [animal] pen._

*(Al-Qamar 54:31)*

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will ...

One of the question asked is can a Christian enter Jannah today?

One of the question asked is can a Christian enter Jannah today? Alhamdulillah, it is clear from Quran and hadiths that any christian who dies believing Jesus is God or son of God and do not believe in prophet Muhammad Peace be Upon Him will enter hellfire. Allah says, Al-Ma'idah 5:17 They have certainly disbelieved who say that Allāh is Christ, the son of Mary. Say, "Then who could prevent Allāh at all if He had intended to destroy Christ, the son of Mary, or his mother or everyone on the earth?" And to Allāh belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them. He creates what He wills, and Allāh is over all things competent.

PURIFICATION OF THE HEART

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm al-khamis, 20th day of Swafar 1447AH, Thursday, 14th August 2025. *_PURIFICATION OF THE HEART_*. BismilLah.  A sister asked me yesterday how we can purify ourselves to achieve the immense benefits mentioned in our reminder yesterday.  The command to purify our hearts from sins was an essential Islamic teaching ever since the early stages of the revelation in Mecca. This is known as “purification of the soul” (tazkiyyat an-nafs).   ALLAH Azzawajal says: He has succeeded who purifies the soul, and he has failed who corrupts the soul. Surah Ash-Shams 91:9-10. Also, ALLAH Azzawajal says: A day when there will be no benefit in wealth or children, but only in he who comes to ALLAH Azzawajal with a pure heart. Surah Ash-Shu’ara 26:88-89.  We learn from these verses that our success in the Hereafter depends upon the purification of our hearts in this life. We must purify our hearts from spiritual sins such as greed, malice, envy, arrog...
