*SHORTCUTS TO JANNAH*

*Part 1*

➖➖➖

1️⃣ *Going to Pray in Congregation(Jamaa'a)*

_*Narrated by Abu Huraira (رضي الله عنه):The Prophet (ﷺ) said: Allaah will prepare for him who goes to the mosque (every) morning and in the afternoon(for the congregational prayer) an honorable place in paradise with good hospitality for(what he has done) every morning and afternoon goings*_

[Sahih Bukhaari, Vol.1, Book 11, Hadith 631]

2️⃣ *Having Taqwa of Allaah(ﷻ) and Good Character*

_*Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه) narrated that the Messenger of Allaah(ﷺ) was asked about that for which people are admitted into Paradise the most, so he said: Taqwa of Allaah(ﷻ), and good character. And he was asked about that for which people are admitted into the Fire the most, and he said: The mouth and the private parts.*_

[Sunan at-Tirmidhi, Vol. 4, Book 1, Hadith 2004]

In another Hadith;

_*Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه) narrated that the Messenger of Allaah(ﷺ)said: For whosoever Allaah protects against the evil of what is between his jaws and the evil of what is between his legs, he shall enter paradise.*_

[Jami'a at-Tirmidhi Book 36, Hadith 2591]

*What is the meaning of having Taqwa and Good Character?*

Taqwah (fear of Allaah)

The scholars defined Taqwah as "placing a barrier between yourself and the punishment of Allaah by performing that which He ordered and abstaining from that which He prohibited".

Good character

The meaning of this is to have good character towards the creation. The lowest form of good character is not to harm people and its highest form is to do good to those who do bad to you.

*The two actions which are a reason for entering hellfire are:*

The mouth

Speaking that which displeases Allaah such as arguing, abusing and slandering, lying, etc

The private parts

All forms of adultery

May Allaah (ﷻ) put us among those that will have Taqwa in Him and save us from fitna of the mouth and the private parts.

3️⃣ *Obedience towards Allaah (ﷻ) and His Messanger (ﷺ)*

Narrated Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه): The Messenger (ﷺ) said, _*"All my nation will enter the Paradise except those who refuse." The companions asked, "O Rasulullah! Who would refuse?" He (ﷺ) said, "Whoever obeys me will enter Paradise and whoever disobeys me has indeed refused (to go to Paradise)."*_

[Sahih Al Bukhaari, Vol. 9, Book 92, Hadith 384]

4️⃣ *Seeking and spreading Islamic Knowledge*

Abdur-Rahman bin Aban (رضي الله عنه) narrated that the Prophet (ﷺ) stated:  _*"May Allaah brighten (the face of) a person who hears a hadith from us and memorise it to convey it to others; for perhaps a receiver of knowledge is more knowledgeable than a transmitter, and perhaps a transmitter (of knowledge), is not versed in knowledge.*_

[Sunan Al-Tirmidhi, Book on knowledge, no. 2656; Sunan Abu Dawud, Book on knowledge, no. 3660.]

Now Imagine the reward you get for sharing this post!

That's not all, it gets even better!

Kathir ibn Qays (رضي الله عنه) said: _*'I was sitting with Abud Darda' (رضي الله عنه) in the mosque of Damascus. A man came to him and said: "Abu Darda, I have come to you from the town of the Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ) for a tradition that I have heard you relate from the Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ). I have come for no other purpose."'*_

_*'He (Abu Darda) said: I heard the Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ) say: "If anyone travels on a road in search of knowledge, Allaah will cause him to travel on one of the roads of Paradise. The angels will lower their wings in their great pleasure with one who seeks knowledge, the inhabitants of the heavens and the earth and the fish in the deep waters will ask forgiveness for the learned man. The superiority of the learned man over the devout is like that of the moon, on the night when it is full, over the rest of the stars. The learned are the heirs of the Prophets, and the Prophets leave neither dinar nor dirham, leaving only knowledge, and he who takes it takes an abundant portion."'*_

[Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 2606, Sunan Abi Dawood 3641, Sahih]

Subhanallah...

Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) narrated that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: _*"Whoever follows a path in pursuit of knowledge, Allaah will make easy for him a path to paradise. No people gather in one of the houses of Allaah, reciting the Book of Allaah and teaching it to one another, but the angels will surround them, tranquility will descend upon them, mercy will envelop them and Allaah will mention them to those who are with Him. And whoever is hindered because of his bad deeds, his lineage will be of no avail to him."*_

[Sahih Muslim Book 35, Hadith 6518]

The biggest virtue of seeking and spreading knowledge, is that it is one of the three thing which is guaranteed to help us even after our death:

Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) narrated that the Rosool (ﷺ) said:  _*"The action of man stops when he dies except three things: continuous charity, knowledge (that he shares/teaches) or a pious child who prays for him.*_

[Sahih Muslim: 4223]

By Allaah (ﷻ), the quest for beneficial knowledge cannot be over emphasized.

رَّبِّ زِدۡنِي عِلۡمٗا

May Allaah increase us in knowledge.

5️⃣ *To Stay in Wudhu and Pray after Adhaan*

Narrated Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه): _*At the time of the Fajr prayer the Prophet (ﷺ) asked Bilal (رضي الله عنه), "Tell me of the best deed you did after embracing Islam, for I heard your footsteps in front of me in Paradise." Bilal replied, "I did not do anything worth mentioning except that whenever I performed ablution during the day or night, I prayed after that ablution as much as was written for me."*_

[Sahih Bukhaari, Vol. 2, Book 21, Hadith 250]

6️⃣ *Performing Hajj*

The Messenger (ﷺ) said: _*"The reward for an accepted hajj is nothing less than Paradise."*_

[Bukhaari and Muslim]

Note: Many a times, people tend to introduce a lot of practices into the rituals of Hajj, and end up innovating the Hajj ritual to a small or large extent.

They also fail to abide by the rules thereby lessening their chances of having their Hajj accepted.

7️⃣ *Reciting Ayat ul-Kursi after every Fardh Salah*

*Al-Baqarah 2:255*

Sayyiduna Abu Ummah (رضي الله عنه) reports that Rasulullah (ﷺ) said: _*“Whoever recites Ayat al-Kursi after every Salat, the only barrier between him and paradise is death.”*_

[Sunan Nasa’i, Hadith: 9848, ibn Hibban in his Kitabus Salah; see Targhib, vol. 2 pg. 453]

Before we go on, let us try to practice at least 50% of what we have learnt (if we do more, it is none but our benefit).

May Allaah (ﷻ) accept it from us as an act of worship.(Ameen)

8️⃣ *Perfecting (and Testifying by Acknowledging and Applying the Meaning) of the 99 Names of Allaah*

Narrated by Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه): _*Allaah (ﷻ) has ninety-nine Names, i.e., one hundred minus one, and whoever believes in their meanings and acts accordingly, will enter Paradise; and Allaah (ﷻ) is witr (one) and loves 'the witr' (i.e., odd numbers)*_

[Sahih Bukhaari, Vol. 8, Book 75, Hadith 419]

*Brief explanation on this hadith*

Every name of Allaah has a meaning and its Tafseer.

In this hadeeth, the meaning of "perfecting" Allaah's names is to affirm them, memorize them and understand their meanings.

We live in a society where people go to traditionalist (idol worshipers) to seek blessing, wherein Allaah (ﷻ) alone is The One who grants every blessing.

We have people who believe shifa (cure) lies in the hands of some pious person (alive or dead) and end up first seeking the help of that mud-made man instead of Allaah (ﷻ) when we know that Allaah (ﷻ) alone heals and cures.

So on and so forth.

These actions defy the very attributes (characteristic) of Allaah (ﷻ), thereby pushing a Muslim into shirk and kufr.

9️⃣ *Conveying the Islamic Greetings, Feeding the Poor, Maintaining Family Ties and Praying a Portion of the Night*

Abdullah bin Salam (رضي الله عنه) narrated that the Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ) said:

_*"O people, extend greetings (saying salam to each other), keep relations with your kin, provide food (to people) and pray at night when people are asleep and you will enter Paradise in peace."*_

[At-Tirmidhi who graded it as Sahih, Ibn Haja in Bulugh al Maraam Book 16, Hadith 1574 who graded is Sahih]

*Note:*

The consequences of severing the blood relations, i.e the family ties, whether you like them or not, is so severe that a person if punished for it, will be one of the most unfortunate soul ever.

A hadith narrated by Jubair bin Mut'im (رضي الله عنه) that he heard the Prophet (ﷺ) saying; _*"The person who severs the bond of kinship will not enter Paradise".*_

[Sahih Bukhaari, Vol. 8, Book 73, Hadith 13]

It was narrated that Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) said: _*"the Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ) said: 'By the One in whose Hand is my soul! You will not enter Paradise until you believe, and you will not (truly) believe until you love one another. Shall I not tell you of something which, if you do it, you will love one another? Spread the greetings of Salam amongst yourselves.*_

[Sunan ibn Maajah, Vol. 1, Book 1, Hadith 68]

1️⃣0️⃣ *A Woman Fulfilling the Rights of her Husband*

It was narrated from 'Abd al-Rahmaan ibn 'Awf (رضي الله عنه) that the Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ) said: _*"If a woman does her five (daily prayers), fasts her month (Ramadaan), guards her chastity and obeys her husband, it will be said to her: Enter whichever of the gates of Paradise you want."*_

[Musnad Ahmad, Hadith 1595 and Ibn Hibban]

Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) narrated that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: _*"If I were to order anyone to prostrate to anyone, then I would order the wife to prostrate to her husband."*_

[Sunan Tirmidhi Vol. 1, Book 7, Hadith 1159. Graded Hasan]

*Note:*

The rights of women which are to be taken care of by the husband are also many, and even the husband is held responsible for neglecting or exempting from it.

May Allaah (ﷻ) guide and keep us steady on the right path. (آمِيْن يَارَبَّ الْعَالَمِينَ)

1️⃣1️⃣ *Looking After One's Daughters and Sisters*

Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri (رضي الله عنه) narrated that: The Messenger of Allaah(ﷺ) said: _*"Whoever has three daughters, or three sisters, or two daughters, or two sisters and he keeps good company with them and fears Allaah regarding them, then Paradise is for him"*_

[Jami'a at-Tirmidhi, Book 27, Hadith 2040, Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 79, 77, Also see Sunan Ibn Majah 3670, Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 76 and Sahih at-Targheeb 1973]

Jabir ibn 'Abdullah (رضي الله عنه) reported that the Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ) said; _*"Anyone who has three daughters and provides for them, clothes them and shows mercy to them will definitely enter the Garden. {and in another narration the prophet said 'they will be a shield against the fire for him} "A man from the people said, "And two daughters, Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ)?" He said, "And two."*_

[Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 78, Hasan (1) : Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 76, Sahih al Albaani and Sunan Ibn Majah 3669]

*This is how the Prophet (ﷺ) treated his daughter:*

The Prophet (ﷺ) would stand up for his daughter Fatimah (رضي الله عنها) when she would come to him, take her hands, kiss her and let her take his seat.

Likewise, whenever the Prophet (ﷺ) came to her she would stand up for him, take his hand and kiss him.

*[Al-Bukhari, Al-Adab Al-Mufrad, pp. 326 and 337-338, nos. 947, 971 and 1030; Abu Dawud, vol. 5, p. 391, no. 5217]*

1️⃣2️⃣ *To be Patient at the Death of One's Child*

Prophet (ﷺ) said; *_"A woman whose three children die will be shielded by them from the Hell fire." On that a woman asked, "If only two die?" He replied, "Even two (will shield her from the Hell-fire)."_*

[Sahih al-Bukhari 101]

Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) reported that the Prophet (ﷺ) said; _*"If someone has three children die before they reach puberty, Allaah (ﷻ) will admit him and them to the Garden by virtue of His mercy."*_

[Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 151, Sahih]

The Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ) said: _*"Allaah (ﷻ) says: 'I have no reward other than Jannah for a believing slave of Mine who remains patient for My sake when I take away his beloved one from among the inhabitants of the world"*_

[Al Bukhaari and Riyad as Saaliheen, Book 1, Hadith 32]

May Allaah (ﷻ) grant us patience and perseverance... Ameen

1️⃣3️⃣ *Sponsoring and Caring for the Orphan*

The Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ) said: _*"I and the sponsor of an orphan shall be in Paradise like these two." And he indicated with his fingers, meaning his index and his middle finger*_

[Jami'a at-Tirmidhi, Book 27, Hadith 2042, Sahih]

1️⃣4️⃣ *Visiting the Sick*

The Messenger (ﷺ) said: _*"When the Muslim visits his (sick) Muslim brother, he is harvesting the fruits of Paradise until he returns.."*_

[Sahih Muslim 2568]

Imam Ahmad (رحمه الله) narrated that Jaabir (رضي الله عنه) said: _*The Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ) said: "Whoever visits a sick person is plunging into mercy until he sits down, and when he sits down he is submerged in it."*_

[Classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in al-Silsilah al-Saheehah, 2504]

It was narrated that 'Ali (رضي الله عنه) said: I heard the Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ) say: _*"There is no Muslim who visits a (sick) Muslim early in the morning but seventy thousand angels send blessings upon him until evening comes, and if he visits him in the evening, seventy thousand angels send blessings upon him until morning comes, and he will have a garden in Paradise."*_

[Al-Tirmidhi (969), Classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Tirmidhi]

1️⃣5️⃣ *Being Patient when Blind*

The Messenger (ﷺ) said: Allaah (ﷻ) The Most High has said: _*"If I take away the eyesight of a slave of Mine and he shows patience and seeks My reward, then I shall reward him with nothing less than Paradise."*_

[Sahih al Bukhaari]

*Note:* Many from the salafu saaliheen, lost their vision nearing the end of their life cycle, but they always bore it.

1️⃣6️⃣ *Easy Going (Moderate) in Trade Activities*

It was narrated that 'Uthman bin 'Affan (رضي الله عنه) said: The Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ) said: *_'Allaah (ﷻ), the Mighty and Sublime, admitted to paradise a man who was easygoing in buying and selling, in paying off debts and asking for repayment."_*

[Sunan an-Nasa'i 4696 also in Tarikh al-Kabeer of Imam Bukhaari]

It was reported on the authority of Mu'adh ibn Anas (رضي الله عنه) that the Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ) said: _*Whoever gives up wearing elegant and expensive garments out of humbleness, while they can afford them, Allaah will call them on the day of judgment, and in front of all the people, he will give them the choice to wear whichever garment of iman (faith) they would like to wear.*_

[Musnad Ahmad, vol. 3, pp. 438-439; Al-Tirmidhi, vol. 4, p. 650, no. 2481]

May Allaah (ﷻ) bless us with tenderness of the heart... Ameen

1️⃣7️⃣ *Forgiving the Poor Debtor*

Allaah's Messenger (ﷺ) said; *_"A man used to give loans to the people and used to say to his servant, 'If the debtor is poor, forgive him, so that Allaah (ﷻ) may forgive us.' So when he met Allaah (ﷻ) (after his death), Allaah (ﷻ) forgave him"_*

[Sahih Bukhaari, Vol. 4, Book 55, Hadith 687]

These ahadeeth shows the virtue of being lenient in trade whereby the Prophet (ﷺ) mentioned that Allaah (ﷻ) granted paradise to a man who was lenient in his trade by fearing Allaah (ﷻ) in his buying, selling and loaning, also by being forgiving towards others if they struggle to repay their debts towards him and not pressuring them to sell their valuables in order to repay him.

1️⃣8️⃣ *Saying I am Pleased with Allaah (ﷻ) as my Lord, Islam as my Religion and Muhammad (ﷺ) as my Prophet*

Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri (رضي الله عنه) reported the Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ) as saying: _*If anyone says; رضيت بالله ربا وبالإسلام دينا و بمحمد نبيا [ثلاث] "I am pleased with Allaah (ﷻ) as my Lord, with Islam as my religion and with Muhammad (ﷺ) as mg Apostle" Paradise will be his due.*_

[Sunan Abi Dawud 1529, Sahih, Also see : 3389]

Another hadeeth informs us that when the Muaddhin (who gives the Adhan) says *_"Ashadu Allaah Ilaaha Ila Allaah or when he says "Ashadu Anna Muhammadur Rasool Allaah"_*, one should say

*_و أنا أشه أن ل إله إا ال له وحُدَه الا شريك له وأن محمدا عبده ورسوله، رضيت بالله ربا، وبمحمد رؤلاً، و بالإسلام دينا_*

*_Wa 'anaa 'ash-hadu 'an laa 'ilaaha 'illallaahu wahdahu laa shareeka lahu wa 'anna Muhammadan 'abduhu wa Rasooluhu, radheetu billaahi Rabban, wa bi-Muhammadin Rasoolan wa bil'islaami deenan.*

_I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped but Allaah (ﷻ)anyone, Who has no partner, and that Muhammad (ﷺ) is His slave and His Messenger. I am pleased with Allaah (ﷻ) as my Lord, with Muhammad (ﷺ) as my Messenger and with Islam as my religion. [To be recited in Arabic after the Mu'aththin's Tashahhud or the words of affirmation of Faith]_

[Sahih Muslim 1/290, and Ibn Khuzaymah 1/220]

1️⃣9️⃣ *Those who Observe the Fast of Ramadan*

It was narrated from Sahi bin Sad (رضي الله عنه) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: _*"For those who fast there is a gate in Paradise called Ar-Rayyan, through which no one but they will enter. When the last of them has entered it, it will be closed. Whoever enters through it will drink, and whoever drinks will never thirst again."*_

[Sunan an-Nasa'i 2237]

2️⃣0️⃣ *Not Indulging in Shirq, Believing in Islam, the Prophets, Paradise and Hell, and Day of Resurrection*

The Prophet (ﷺ) said: He who says: _*"There is no god but Allaah (ﷻ), He is One and there is no associate with Him, that Muhammad (ﷺ) is His servant and His messenger, that Christ is His servant and the son of His slave-girl and he (Christ) is His Word which He communicated to Mary and His Spirit, that Paradise is a fact and Hell is a fact," Allaah (ﷻ) would make him (he who affirms these truths) enter Paradise through any one of its eight doors which he would like.*_

[Sahih Muslim, Book 1, Hadith 43]

May Allaah make our hearts strong and healthy to perform acts of Ibaadah... Aameen

GIVE CHARITY FOR YOUR OWN GOOD

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Ath-thalaatha. 28th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Tuesday 7th May 2024). *_GIVE CHARITY FOR YOUR OWN GOOD_*. Aameen.  Narrated Abu Hurairah [radhi-yAllahu 'anhu]: The Prophet (SallallahuAlaihiWasallam) said, "Charity is obligatory everyday on every joint of a human being.* If one helps a person in matters concerning his riding animal by helping him to ride on it or by lifting his luggage on to it, all these will be regarded as charity. A good word, and every step one takes to offer the compulsory congregational prayer is regarded as charity; and guiding somebody on the road is regarded as charity." [Sahih Al-Bukhari, 4/2891]. To show gratitude to ALLAH for keeping your body safe and sound, you should give in charity or do charitable deeds. NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will p
