Episode 18: Allah gave me a child via Istighfar

•────﷽────•

★- Salam brothers and sisters, my name is not important to this story, so I am just Ms. X. I want to share my story and how I got a child after I was declared barren by the doctors. I got married 24 years ago. I love children, but Allah did not give me one at the beginning of my life. I had 7 miscarriages because doctors said my uterus was too small to carry and house a baby. We did everything in our capacity as humans but failed. So we accepted our fate.

★- At some point, I even asked my husband to marry again. But due to country laws on polygamy, he couldn't. I even asked him to go to Thailand and marry as some Asians do. But my man rejected the idea. All he would say was, nothing is beyond the power of Allah. Thus, we continued to pray. As part of my prayer journey, I started reading stories of people who were not blessed with children; hoping to find some answers. One day I stepped on the story of Imran and his wife in surat Ahli Imran. Allah ta'alah says He gave them a child even though the wife of Imran was barren. So that story gave me so much hope and motivation. (Reference Surah 3-38-41).

★- During one Ramadan, we decided to go for Umrah and spent the entire Ramadan in Makka. During our visit, we visited a lecture session and the Imam gave a very wonderful lecture that changed our lives. The Shaikh was talking about Allah's forgiveness and His mercy. In one of his points, He mentioned a verse of the Quran where Allah talks about the benefits of Istigfar. Allah says:

“Ask forgiveness (from) your Lord. Indeed, He is Oft-Forgiving. He will send down (rain from) the sky upon you (in) abundance, And provide you with wealth and children, and make for you gardens and make for you rivers.”(Quran, 71:10-12)

★- The third phrase got my attention. So I asked, just by saying astaghfirullah Allah can give me a child? I just felt that's too easy, I can do it. The next day I bought a Tasbaha (counter). After Fajr, I would do a thousand Istigfar, After Magrib a thousand Istigfar, before I sleep a thousand Istigfar. By the Grace of Allah, before the next Ramadan,  I got pregnant again, and the baby stayed in. The same year, my husband got a job with Google.  The full meaning of the above verses manifested in our life. Allahu Akbar!

★- On the eve of Eid ul Adha, in 2012, I delivered a bouncing baby boy and immediately we named him Ata'ullah (gift of Allah). It was the happiest day of our lives. We celebrated his birth for 14 days, gave a lot of sadaqah, and even traveled to Makka to thank Allah for his gift. This incident taught me not only to be patient but to also have more taqwah in Allah. Everything comes from Him and if you believe it, you will surely win in this life and the next. Allah says in the Quran:

"And whoever fears Allah – He will make for him a way out. And will provide for him from where he does not expect. And whoever relies upon Allah – then He is sufficient for him. Indeed, Allah will accomplish His purpose. Allah has already set for everything a [decreed] extent.” [surah At-Talaq verse 2-3]

May Allah grant everyone children.

Please be discrete with my identity.

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will ...

HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum Al-Khamis, 22nd day of Jumaadal Uula 1447AH, Thursday, 13th November, 2025.  *_HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN_*. BismilLah.  When we help our brothers and sisters in Islam, in reality, we are helping ourselves. The Messenger of ALLAH (S.A.W) said: He who relieves the hardship of a believer in this world, ALLAH Azzawajallah will relieve his hardship on the Day of Judgment. He who makes easy what is difficult, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will make it easy for him in the world and the hereafter. He who conceals the faults of a Muslim, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will conceal his faults in this ALLAH Azzawajallah world and the Hereafter, for ALLAH helps the servant as long as he helps his brother. Source: Ṣaḥīḥ "Muslim 2699. AlhamdulilLah.  With this I hope with immediate effect we will all strive to help each other in any possible way such as making dua for each other, supporting our relatives and those in need in ou...

THE MUSLIM WOMAN AND HER OWN SELF

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm athalaatha, 3rd day of Rabeeul Awwal 1447AH, Tuesday, 26th August 2025. *_THE MUSLIM WOMAN AND HER OWN SELF_*. BismilLah.  Islam encourages Muslims in general to stand out among people, readily distinguishable by their dress, appearance and behaviour, so that they will be a good example, worthy of the great message that they bring to humanity. According to the hadith narrated by the great Sahabi Ibn al-Hanzaliyyah, the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam ) told his Companions, when they were travelling to meet some brothers in faith: "You are going to visit your brothers, so repair your saddles and make sure that you are dressed well, so that you will stand out among people like an adornment, for ALLAH (SWT) does not love ugliness." Reported by Imam Abu Dawud, 4/83, in Kitab al-libas, bab ma ja'a fi isbal al-izar. The Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) considered an unkempt and careless appearance, and scruffy clothes and furnishings, to be...
