The story of ayyub a.s and lessons from it

The story of ayyub a.s and lessons from it

Alhamdulillah, let's remind ourselves as verily in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find satisfaction..

Ayyub a.s was one of the messengers Allah s.w.t sent on Earth. He was granted wealth, children and everything in life and yet he was grateful.

So Allah s.w.t wanted to test him and so made Satan to have power over him to inflict him with sickness and poverty.

Ayyub a.s turned poor and lost everything.

Satan also inflicted him with strange illness and he lost everything.

All his wives left him yet he was grateful to Allah s.w.t for the mercy he did to him.

So as this continue, one of his wife said to him why do you keep serving and be grateful to Allah you are inflicted with such sickness.

So he said to her, he will punish her with hundred stripes when he is healed.

As Allah says in Quran,

Sad 38:41

And remember Our servant Job, when he called to his Lord, "Indeed, Satan has touched me with hardship and torment."

Sad 38:42

[So he was told], "Strike [the ground] with your foot; this is a [spring for a] cool bath and drink."

Sad 38:43

And We granted him his family and a like [number] with them as mercy from Us and a reminder for those of understanding.

Sad 38:44

[We said], "And take in your hand a bunch [of grass] and strike with it and do not break your oath." Indeed, We found him patient, an excellent servant. Indeed, he was one repeatedly turning back [to Allah].

So such was the reward of his patient.

After many years of infliction of sickness, he never forget to remember Allah and Allah gave him everything double.

May Allah grants us patience. Aamin

BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will ...
