*Interest-Free Loans*
[[---Episode Four---]]--------------------------------
بسم الله الرحمان الرحيم
Anyone who collect someone else's money in the name of borrowing and refused to fulfill the promise of paying back ontime & in full (especially without strong genuine acceptable reasons), is a hypocrite (munafeek).
Evidence:
Abu Huraira (ra) reported: The prophet (PBUH) said, *“Among the signs of a hypocrite are three, even if he fasts and prays and claims to be a Muslim: when he speaks he lies, when he gives a promise he breaks it, and when he is trusted he betrays.”* 📚Source: Sahih al-Bukhari 33, Sahih Muslim 59
In the same vein,
When somebody gives loan of say - 5,000Naira and the due date has come but the debtor asks for time because he is in difficulty. If creditor gives him time he will get reward for sadaqah of same amount (5,000Naira) every day - for all the days extended.. Reference – 📚Ibn Majah
Let's assume,
That the loan repayment is delayed for 30days.. The lender get rewards of giving sadaqah of hundred and fifty thousand naira (150,000) 😳. Yes. If you multiply 5,000 naira by 30days in which the payment was delayed, the total is = hundred and fifty thousand naira (150,000)
Now,
Continuation of episode 1, 2 & 3 - as promised
*Another Benefit Of Lending Is That Your Sins Will be Forgiven:*
The Prophet (saw) said: “Once a man died and was asked, ‘What did you use to say (or do) (in your life time)?’ He replied, ‘I was a businessman and used to give time to the rich to repay his debt and (used to) deduct part of the debt of the poor.’ So he was forgiven (his sins.)” Abu Mas’ud said, “I heard the same (Hadith) from the Prophet.” – 📚Bukhari
*Another Benefit Of Lending Is That, It's A Pure Investment with Allah:*
With verses & hadeeth, we have seen from our previous episodes of this article that lending your money to someone who requested it, is attracted by a huge rewards & benefits.
Now,
Spending your money in the propagation of Islam and assisting your fellow Muslim in need (brother or sister) is not only a charity BUT a loan given to Allah (swt).
And fortunately,
The best business a Muslim could build is investing with Allah. There is no bankruptcy and no risk because Allah (swt) is the provider. Allah is the owner of rizq (the money you have). The result of the investment may not come right away sometimes, but the Prophet (saw) said that a big returns will be received.
*Evidences:* - Allah (swt) say:
1️⃣
“Indeed, the men who practice charity and the women who practice charity and [they who] have loaned Allah a goodly loan – it will be multiplied for them, and they will have a noble reward.” 📚[Al-Hadid (57:18)]
2️⃣
“Who is it that would loan Allah a goodly loan so He may multiply it for him many times over? And it is Allah who withholds and grants abundance, and to Him you will be returned.” 📚[Al-Baqara (2:245]
3️⃣
If you loan Allah a goodly loan, He will multiply it for you and forgive you. And Allah is Most Appreciative and Forbearing. 📚[Al-Tagabun: 17]
4️⃣
Who is it that would loan Allah a goodly loan so He will multiply it for him and he will have a noble reward? 📚[Al-Hadid: 11]
