بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

One of the concepts within Islam that has been misunderstood in the modern age is the concept of tawassul.

My people!

One of the *Shortcut Journeys* to getting your Dua accepted quickly, is to remember to benefit from the concept of *"Tawassul"* each time you come to make Dua.

Tawassul is an Arabic word originated from wa-sa-la- waseelat (Arabic: وسيلة-وسل‎).. *Tawassul and Waseelah* literally means to make a request or supplicate through a means. That's why "Tawassul" in Arabic means seeking to draw close to Allaah (swt).

Servants of Allah!

The main concern of a Muslim's life is to draw near to Allah (swt) and attain His pleasure and reward. Part of Allah's mercy to us is that He has given us acts of worship and opened the door of being near to Him. And Muslims draw near to Allah (swt) with all of the different means for doing so that Allah has legislated.

Furthermore,

Allah (swt) mentions al-waseelah in the Qur'an in two places.. Yes.. The first is when He commands it saying:

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَٱبْتَغُوٓا۟ إِلَيْهِ ٱلْوَسِيلَةَ وَجَٰهِدُوا۟ فِى سَبِيلِهِۦ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ

"O you who have believed, fear Allah and seek the means [of nearness] to Him and strive in His cause that you may succeed". 📚(5:35).

And,

The second is:

أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ يَبْتَغُونَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِمُ ٱلْوَسِيلَةَ ........."

When Allah praises those who seek to draw near to him through their supplications, Those unto whom they cry seek the way of approach [al-wasilah] to their Lord, which of them shall be the nearest; they hope for His mercy and they fear His doom..." 📚 [al-Isra 17:57]

Now,

There are two types of Tawassul, correct Islamic tawassul and forbidden tawassul.

*Correct Islamic Tawassul:*

This means seeking to draw close to Allah (swt) through acts of worship which HE loves and which please HIM; these may be waajib (obligatory) or mustahabb (encouraged), and may take the form of words, actions or beliefs. Some types are as follows:

▪️Seeking to draw close to Allah by means of His names and attributes.

▪️Seeking to draw close to Allah by means of faith and Tawheed.

▪️Seeking to draw close to Allah through righteous deeds, whereby a person asks Allah by virtue of the best deeds that he has done, such as swalaah, fasting, spending on charity, reading Quraan, avoiding haraam things, and so on.

An example of this is the saheeh hadeeth narrated in the Saheehayn (ie - Bukhari & Muslim) about the three people who entered a cave, and a rock fell and blocked their way out. They asked Allah by virtue of their best deeds (to save them).

A person may also ask Allah by virtue of his total dependency upon Him *(eg - the Dua of prophet Ayyoob),* as Allah mentions in the Quraan: 👉 "[Ayyoob said:] Verily, distress has seized me, and You are the Most Merciful of those who show mercy".📚[al-Anbiya 21:83]

Or,

By admitting one's own wrongdoing and the need for Allah, as Yoonus is described as saying: 👉 "None has the right to be worshipped except You (O Allah). Glorified (and exalted) are You. Truly I have been of the wrong-doers. 📚[al-Anbiya 21:87]

Servants of Allah!

Another thing i have learnt over the years is to make Dua immediately after completing any act i have done to please Allah.

This is why, after finishing any article, i don't share it online to Ummah until i raise my hands 🙏 and pray to Allah to (1) accept the efforts from me as an act of Ibadah and i do make alot of dua for myself & people, (2) I do make Dua to Allah (swt) to incorporate everybody who, make it possible for the article to be successfully prepared & shared to Muslim Ummah worldwide.

*Tawassul that is bidah and therefore forbidden:*

The forbidden type of Tawassul is........

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will ...

HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum Al-Khamis, 22nd day of Jumaadal Uula 1447AH, Thursday, 13th November, 2025.  *_HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN_*. BismilLah.  When we help our brothers and sisters in Islam, in reality, we are helping ourselves. The Messenger of ALLAH (S.A.W) said: He who relieves the hardship of a believer in this world, ALLAH Azzawajallah will relieve his hardship on the Day of Judgment. He who makes easy what is difficult, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will make it easy for him in the world and the hereafter. He who conceals the faults of a Muslim, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will conceal his faults in this ALLAH Azzawajallah world and the Hereafter, for ALLAH helps the servant as long as he helps his brother. Source: Ṣaḥīḥ "Muslim 2699. AlhamdulilLah.  With this I hope with immediate effect we will all strive to help each other in any possible way such as making dua for each other, supporting our relatives and those in need in ou...

THE MUSLIM WOMAN AND HER OWN SELF

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm athalaatha, 3rd day of Rabeeul Awwal 1447AH, Tuesday, 26th August 2025. *_THE MUSLIM WOMAN AND HER OWN SELF_*. BismilLah.  Islam encourages Muslims in general to stand out among people, readily distinguishable by their dress, appearance and behaviour, so that they will be a good example, worthy of the great message that they bring to humanity. According to the hadith narrated by the great Sahabi Ibn al-Hanzaliyyah, the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam ) told his Companions, when they were travelling to meet some brothers in faith: "You are going to visit your brothers, so repair your saddles and make sure that you are dressed well, so that you will stand out among people like an adornment, for ALLAH (SWT) does not love ugliness." Reported by Imam Abu Dawud, 4/83, in Kitab al-libas, bab ma ja'a fi isbal al-izar. The Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) considered an unkempt and careless appearance, and scruffy clothes and furnishings, to be...
