Allah ﷻ says

_And when it is said to him, "Fear Allah," pride in the sin takes hold of him. Sufficient for him is Hellfire, and how wretched is the resting place._

[2:206]

Arrogance leads to the fire!

And humility, Allah ﷻ brings you closer to him with it!

The first sin to be committed was arrogance!

It was said to the Angels and among them was Iblees, Prostrate for Adam!

And all of them prostrated, except Iblees!

He said I am better than him! You created me from fire and you created him from clay!

And fire is that which makes clay become pottery.

What happened next?

Allah ﷻ says:

_He said "So get out here Indeed you are rejected!"_

_And indeed upon you is my curse until the day of Judgement._

[38:77-78]

__

It was the arrogance of Iblees which caused him to disobey and be cursed by Allah ﷻ!

_

This Arrogance is a disease many of us possess!

Abdullah ibn Mas’ud رضي الله عنه reported: The Prophet ﷺ  said:

_*“No one who has the weight of a seed of arrogance in his heart will enter Paradise.”* A man said, “But a man likes to have nice clothes and nice shoes.” The Prophet said, “Verily, Allah is beautiful and He loves beauty. *Arrogance is to reject the truth and to look down upon people*.”_

[Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 91]

_

An atoms worth!

Let us humble ourselves before Allah ﷻ!

And heed the reminder when it comes to us!

For indeed arrogance causes a person to turn away from the truth and causes him to despise people!

_

Abdullah ibn Amr رضي الله عنه reported: The Prophet ﷺ said:

_“The arrogant will be gathered on the Day of Resurrection as tiny particles in the form of men. Disgrace will be cast over them from every direction. They will be dragged to a prison in Hell named Balus, to be submerged in the fire of all fires, drinking the bile of the people of Hellfire and driving them into madness.”_

[Sunan al-Tirmidhī 2492, Grade: Sahih]

_

In a hadith narrated by Ibn Mas’ud رضي الله عنه : The Prophet ﷺ used to make the following dua:

*اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ وَهَمْزِهِ وَنَفْخِهِ وَنَفْثِهِ*

_“O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the accursed Satan, his madness, his pride, and his poetry.”_

[Sunan Ibn Mājah 808, Grade: Sahih (authentic) according to Al-Albani]

Amongst the greatest signs of pride and arrogance for Allah ﷻ is a person who refuses to do Sujood to Him ﷻ by not praying his Salah!

Brothers and sisters!

Iblees was excommunicated for one Sajdah, and you expect to receive mercy and Jannah *while you refuse many more than that by abandoning the Salah?*

_

You came from dust & you will return to the dust, so walk upon it with humility!

May Allah ﷻ forgive us and Grant us ease.

GIVE CHARITY FOR YOUR OWN GOOD

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Ath-thalaatha. 28th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Tuesday 7th May 2024). *_GIVE CHARITY FOR YOUR OWN GOOD_*. Aameen.  Narrated Abu Hurairah [radhi-yAllahu 'anhu]: The Prophet (SallallahuAlaihiWasallam) said, "Charity is obligatory everyday on every joint of a human being.* If one helps a person in matters concerning his riding animal by helping him to ride on it or by lifting his luggage on to it, all these will be regarded as charity. A good word, and every step one takes to offer the compulsory congregational prayer is regarded as charity; and guiding somebody on the road is regarded as charity." [Sahih Al-Bukhari, 4/2891]. To show gratitude to ALLAH for keeping your body safe and sound, you should give in charity or do charitable deeds. Narrated Abu Hurairah [radhi-yAllahu 'anhu]: ALLAH'S Messenger (sallallahuAlaihiWasallam) said, "The strong is not the one who overcomes the people by his strength, but the strong is the one w

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will p
