*Achieving Certainty (yaqīn)*
"Certainty in faith (yaqin) is achieved by three matters:
1) Pondering over the Book of Allah
2) Pondering over the creation of Allah, and this reminds one of the Majesty of Allah
3) Acting upon what we know to be the truth."

We all go through periods of life where our faith waxes and wanes. Ibn Taymiyyah reminds us that the three best ways to fortify our faith are:
Firstly, to recite, listen and ponder over the Quran. Nothing increases our imān, and brings us certainty, like the Quran. *Nothing*.
Secondly, realizing the beauty and perfection of the creation, which inevitably leads us to the Majesty and Power of the Creator. Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and earth, and the alternation of the night and day, are miracles for people of intelligence. This creation cannot be explained except via a Creator, and no faith affirms a Creator and theology as simple and beautiful as the faith of Islam.
Lastly, when we live out our faith, and worship our Lord, we experience a sense of purpose and peace, and are bestowed a certainty and conviction, that demonstrates for us the truth of our religion.
We ask Allah for certainty (yaqīn) and the sweetness of faith!
