*KINDNESS TO PARENTS*

*COMMAND TO RESPECT PARENTS EVEN WHEN THEY ARE AT FAULT*
➖➖➖
Allaah (ﷻ) has made us come into existence through our parents, and through love and His (ﷻ) commandment, they took care of us, catered for us, avoided sleep so we could sleep, trained us to reach wherever we are now with the help of Allaah (جل جلاله).
For all these, it is only sane enough that man be dutiful to his parents.
Allaah (ﷻ) said,
_And We have enjoined upon man [care] for his parents. His mother carried him, [increasing her] in weakness upon weakness, and his weaning is in two years. Be grateful to Me and to your parents; to Me is the [final] destination._
*(Luqman 31:14)*
Some children would disregard and disrespect a parent because such (parent) had neglected the child while he was growing, believing he is doing the right thing by retaliating on the poor care he has received from the parent, and hence, thought he wouldn't be called to account for the ill treatment he has perpetuated on the parent.
Narrated Abu Bakra (رضي الله عنه):
Allaah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, _*"Shall I inform you of the biggest of the great sins?" They said, "Yes, O Allaah's Apostle!" He said, "To join partners in worship with Allaah, and to be undutiful to one's parents."*_
(Sahih al-Bukhari 6273)
And Allaah (ﷻ) commanded the believers to be kind and respectful to their parents;
*وَقَضَىٰ رَبُّكَ أَلَّا تَعْبُدُوٓا۟ إِلَّآ إِيَّاهُ وَبِٱلْوَٰلِدَيْنِ إِحْسَٰنًاۚ إِمَّا يَبْلُغَنَّ عِندَكَ ٱلْكِبَرَ أَحَدُهُمَآ أَوْ كِلَاهُمَا فَلَا تَقُل لَّهُمَآ أُفٍّ وَلَا تَنْهَرْهُمَا وَقُل لَّهُمَا قَوْلًا كَرِيمًا*
_And your Lord has decreed that you worship not except Him, and to parents, good treatment. Whether one or both of them reach old age [while] with you, say not to them [so much as], "uff," and do not repel them but speak to them a noble word._
*(Al-Isra' 17:23)*
Asma' bint Abi Bakr as-Siddiq (رضي الله عنها), said, _*"My mother came to me during the time of the Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ), while she was still an idolater and I asked the Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ), 'My mother has come to me, wanting something. Shall I give it to her?' He said, 'Yes. Give to your mother.'"*_
[Agreed upon]
Brothers and sisters, respect your parents and know that everyone is tested in one way or the other.
Our Lord, forgive us and our parents and the believers comes the Day the account is established.
آمين يا رب العالمين
