*The Importance & Benefits*

Allah ﷻ says that His Remembrance brings 2 things, 

1. Removes the past sins

2. Writes for you new good deeds. 

Allah ﷻ will forgive all the past sins. 

And then He writes for us a new clean pure good deed, 

Allah ﷻ says 

*وَالذَّاكِرِينَ اللَّهِ كَثِيرًا وَالذَّاكِرَاتِ أَعَدَّ اللَّهُ لَهُمْ مَغْفِرَةً وَأَجْرًا عَظِيمًا*

_And those men and women who remember Allah a lot, Allah has prepared for them forgiveness and a great reward._

[33:35]

_

Allah ﷻ also says: 

*فَٱذْكُرُونِىٓ أَذْكُرْكُمْ وَٱشْكُرُوا۟ لِى وَلَا تَكْفُرُونِ*

_So remember Me; I will remember you. And be grateful to Me and do not deny Me._

[2:152]

_

The Prophet ﷺ used to make Dhikr an integral part of his life,

Everything he ﷺ did, He remembered Allah ﷻ in it! 

_

In part of a longer Hadith Qudsi Prophet ﷺ said that Allah ﷻ said _"I am as my servant thinks of me and I am with him when he remembers me. If he remembers me in solitude, I remember him in solitude. If he remembers me in a gathering I remember him in a superior gathering"_

[Sahih al-Bukhārī 6970, Sahih Muslim 2675]

_

Don't overlook this essential Ibadah,

It keeps a person focused on Allah, away from sins, happier and more content! 

_

And if only you could hear the graves, and how they wish to say سبحان الله or الحمد الله one more time! 

_

So repeat continuously, with little effort! 

سُبْحَانَ اللهِ، وَالْحْمدُ لِلهِ، وَلَا إِلهَ إِلَّا اللهُ، وَاللهُ أَكْبَرُ

_

استغفر الله

_

سُبحانَ الله وَبِحمدِه ، سُبحَانَ الله العَظِيم

_

لا حول و لا قوة الا بالله

_

They are so easy, yet the first makes the sins fall like leaves,

The second, provides protection from punishment

The third, grows us a tree in Jannah

And the fourth, everything becomes easy even when it seems hard! 

_

Don't let your homes be graveyards,

Recite Qur'an often! This is a Dhikr as well! 

_

Don't let your tongues fall dry, continuously remember Allah ﷻ, so that you have a greater chance of dying with the last word being the praise of Allah ﷻ! 

_

In fact the Prophet ﷺ said it with profound words _"Do Dhikr so much that people start calling you Majnoon (mad)"_

[Narrated by Ahmad in his Musnad, Ibn Hibban in his Sahih, and al-Hakim who declared it sahih]

From the benefits of Dhikr is that it prevents one from committing sins, wipes away sins and saves a person from Allah’s punishment.

Mu’aadh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه said that Allah’s Messenger ﷺ said:

_‘’The son of Adam never performs an act that [brings grants] him safety from Allah’s punishment *more than the remembrance of Allah*’’_

[Sahih Al-Jaami. Number 5633]

_

May Allah ﷻ make us of those whose hearts are filled with the remembrance of Allah ﷻ.

*آمِيْن يَارَبَّ الْعَالَمِينْ*
