ARE YOU ADDICTED TO SUNNĀH FASTING?

 ﷽

*ARE YOU ADDICTED TO SUNNĀH FASTING?*

Good news to those who are always observing Sunnah Fasting on every Monday and Thursday + Three White Days (i.e 13th, 14th & 15th) of every Islamic Month of the Year, Sittu Shawwāl, Arafāt Day, etc.

Here is the breakdown of the number days within a year:

1. If you observe Sunnah Fasting of every Monday & Thursday for a complete year apart from the month of Ramadān, In-sha-Allāh you will observe 88 days Sunnah Fasting.

The Messenger of Allāh (Blessings and Peace be upon him) said, "Deeds of people are presented (to Allāh) on Mondays and Thursdays. So I like that my actions be presented while I am fasting." (Tirmidhi)

2. If you observe Sunnah Fasting of every White Days (i.e 13th, 14th and 15th) of every Islamic Month of the Year apart from the month of Ramadān, In-sha-Allah you will observe 33 days Sunnah Fasting.

The Prophet (Blessings and Peace of of Allāh be upon him) said: “Fasting three days of each month is fasting for a lifetime, and the three white days are the thirteenth, fourteenth and fifteenth.” (An Nasaa’i )

3. If you observe Sittu Shawwāl Sunnah Fasting of every Islamic year, In-sha-Allah you will observe 6 days Sunnah Fasting.

4. If you observe  Sunnah Fasting in the first ten days of Zhul-Hijja every year, Insha-Allah you will observe 10 days Sunnah Fasting.

5. If you observe Sunnah Fasting of Tasu'a and Āshura every year, In-sha-Allāh you will observe 2 days Sunnah Fasting.

Summary of the aforementioned breakdown:

1. = 88 days

2. = 33 days

3. = 6   days

4. = 10 days

5. = 2    days

Grand Total: 139 days (which is equivalent to almost five months according to the Islamic calendar).

If you observe the above-mentioned sunnah Fasting + 30 or 29 days of Ramadān, In-sha-Allāh you will observe almost six months fasting within a year.

What are you waiting for? Without been told, if you observe six months fasting within a single year, you will be stronger (both in faith and flesh), healthier and happier than before. Just tell yourself that I can do it and I will do it In-sha-Allāh, that's all. With Almighty ALLĀH, all things are possible. May ALLĀH make it easy for me and you. Ameen.

Try and fast, if you are unable to fast you can still partake in this opportunity of gaining reward by spreading/sharing the reminder to others. Start with your family members. Perhaps one will fast because of your message.

‎(... مَنْ دَلَّ عَلَى خَيْرٍ فَلَهُ مِثْلُ أَجْرِ فَاعِلِهِ )

"Whoever points to something good will have the same reward as the one who does it.” [Sahih Muslim]

✔️The Prophet (Blessings and Peace of Allāh be upon him) said, "He who loves my Sunnah has loved me, and he who loves me will be with me in Paradise." (at-Tirmidhi)

✔️ Fasting is only 1% of not eating and drinking, the rest of the 99% is bringing your heart and soul close to Allāh (Sub-haanahu wata'aala).

✔️Allāh (Sub-haanahu says: "Every good deed of the son of Ādam is for him except FASTING, for it is for me and I will reward it." (Bukhari and Muslim)

✔️ The Prophet (ﷺ) said:  "Whoever fasts one day in the cause of Allah, the Almighty  Allah will separate his face from the fire by (a distance of) seventy  years." (Sunan an-Nasa'i 2247/Sahīh Muslim 2/808)

✔️ Ar-Rayyan is a gate in paradise for only those who observe fasts and none except them will enter through it. (Bukhari 1896)

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

 DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will ...

HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN

 DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum Al-Khamis, 22nd day of Jumaadal Uula 1447AH, Thursday, 13th November, 2025.  *_HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN_*. BismilLah.  When we help our brothers and sisters in Islam, in reality, we are helping ourselves. The Messenger of ALLAH (S.A.W) said: He who relieves the hardship of a believer in this world, ALLAH Azzawajallah will relieve his hardship on the Day of Judgment. He who makes easy what is difficult, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will make it easy for him in the world and the hereafter. He who conceals the faults of a Muslim, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will conceal his faults in this ALLAH Azzawajallah world and the Hereafter, for ALLAH helps the servant as long as he helps his brother. Source: Ṣaḥīḥ "Muslim 2699. AlhamdulilLah.  With this I hope with immediate effect we will all strive to help each other in any possible way such as making dua for each other, supporting our relatives and those in need in ou...

BEST TIME FOR TAHAJJUD

 *BEST TIME FOR TAHAJJUD* It is best to delay this prayer to the last third portion of the night. Abu Hurairah reports that the Messenger of Allah said: "Our Lord descends to the lowest heaven during the last third of the night, inquiring: 'Who will call on Me so that I may respond to him? Who is asking something of Me so I may give it to him? Who is asking for My forgiveness so I may forgive him?"' This is related by the group. 'Amr ibn Abasah reports that he heard the Prophet say: "The closest that a slave comes to his Lord is during the middle of the latter portion of the night. If you can be among those who remember Allah, the Exalted One, at that time then do so." This is related by al-Hakim who grades it sahih according to Muslim's standards, and at-Tirmizhi calls it hasan sahih. AnNasa'i and Ibn Khuzaimah also recorded it. Abu Muslim asked Abu Zharr: "Which late-night prayer is the best?" He said: "I asked the Messenger of A...
