*Turning Bad Deeds Into Good Deeds*

Allah ﷻ says in the Qur'an:
*إِلاَّ مَن تَابَ وَءَامَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَـلِحاً*
_Except those who repent, believe and do righteousness._
Meaning, "Except those who recant from giving up the prayers and following the desires, for verily, Allah ﷻ will accept their repentance, give them a good end and make them of those who inherit the Garden of Delight (Paradise)."
For this reason Allah ﷻ says,
*فَأُوْلَـئِكَ يَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ وَلاَ يُظْلَمُونَ شَيْئاً*
_for those will enter Paradise and will not be wronged at all._
[19:60]
This is because repentance wipes away that which was before it.
In a Hadith, the Prophet ﷺ said:
*التَّائِبُ مِنَ الذَّنْبِ كَمَنْ لَاذَنْبَ لَه*
_The one who repents from sin is like he who has no sin._
[Ibn Maajah 4250]
سبحان الله
Because of this, those who repent will not lose anything from the good deeds that they did. They will not be held accountable for what they did before their repentance, thus causing a decrease in their reward for deeds that they do after their repentance.
That is because whatever they did before repenting is lost, forgotten and not taken to account. This is an honor from the Most Generous and a kindness from the Most Gentle.
Allah ﷻ says in another surah:
*اِلَّا مَنْ تَابَ وَآمَنَ وَعَمِلَ عَمَلًا صَالِحًا فَأُولَٰئِكَ يُبَدِّلُ اللَّهُ سَيِّئَاتِهِمْ حَسَنَاتٍ ۗ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ غَفُورًا رَحِيمًا*
_Except those who repent and believe, and do righteous deeds; for those, Allah will change their sins into good deeds, and Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful._
[25:70]
*الله أكبر*
So What stops you from repentance?
Abbas رضي الله عنه reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ related from his Lord ﷻ _"Verily Allah has recorded the good deeds and the evil deeds.” Then he clarified that: “Whosoever intends to do a good deed but does not do it, Allah records it with Himself as a complete good deed; but if he intends it and does it, Allah records it with Himself as ten good deeds, up to seven hundred times, or more than that. But if he intends to do an evil deed and does not do it, Allah records it with Himself as a complete good deed; but if he intends it and does it, Allah records it down as a single evil deed"_
[Bukhari and Muslim]
If you repent, you are doing Good Deeds!
*So Repent!*
