*THE BLESSING OF ISLAM*

*Are we grateful for it?*

The greatest blessing of Allah  ﷻ for his slaves in this Dunya is the blessings of Islam.

As Allah ﷻ says 

*أَفَمَن شَرَحَ ٱللَّهُ صَدۡرَهُۥ لِلۡإِسۡلَٰمِ فَهُوَ عَلَىٰ نُورٖ مِّن رَّبِّهِۦۚ فَوَيۡلٞ لِّلۡقَٰسِيَةِ قُلُوبُهُم مِّن ذِكۡرِ ٱللَّهِۚ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ فِي ضَلَٰلٖ مُّبِينٍ*

_So is one whose breast Allah has expanded to [accept] Islam and he is upon a light from his Lord [like one whose heart rejects it]? Then woe to those whose hearts are hardened against the remembrance of Allah . Those are in manifest error._

[39:22]

This blessing of Islam allows us to worship Allah ﷻ as he commanded us to worship Him and allows us to draw nearer to Him, if we didn't have it we would be of those who Allah ﷻ addressed

*وَمَن يَبْتَغِ غَيْرَ الإِسْلاَمِ دِينًا فَلَن يُقْبَلَ مِنْهُ وَهُوَ فِي الآخِرَةِ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ*

_And whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted of him, and in the Hereafter he will be one of the losers._

[3:85]

Allah ﷻ has blessed us with this religion that we take for granted.

_

Many of the muslims who are born into the religion, and even some reverts who have lost their way, they have become lax in the religion and take it as a joke.

They forget that Islam is a blessing in itself from Allah ﷻ, and they think that it is a religion for the boring, a religion of Haraam and Halal.

_

And this mentality has created a lot of Fitnah today in our communities.

_

People forget the very blessing of the oxygen we breathe is from Allah ﷻ, and that while we sin, Allah ﷻ could cut off their oxygen.

As Allah ﷻ says 

*وَآتَاكُم مِّن كُلِّ مَا سَأَلْتُمُوهُ وَإِن تَعُدُّواْ نِعْمَتَ اللّهِ لاَ تُحْصُوهَا إِنَّ الإِنسَانَ لَظَلُومٌ كَفَّارٌ*

_And He gives you of all you ask of Him. And if you count Allah's favours, you will not be able to number them. Surely man is very unjust, very ungrateful._

[14:34]

سبحان الله

Reflect, for the blessing of Islam, have you ever been grateful to Allah ﷻ? 

_

Contemplate, the many people who have no use in their legs or have a mental illness, do they not remind you of your Blessings? 

_

Ya Ibn Adam! Allah ﷻ has given you the blessing of Islam without you asking, so you could act in order to earn the Jannah that you do ask for today. 

So do what you must, and be grateful.

How many ungrateful souls lie regretful?
