*Begin Planning*
------------------بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
When you pass away, do not worry about your dead body as fellow Muslims will take good care of it. They will take off your clothes, wash your body up, and wrap it in a clean white shroud. They will take you to your new house, the grave.
Many are those who will escort you to your final resting place; many will even cancel their businesses to see you off.
You can rest easy knowing that the world will not collapse or even mourn you; life will go on, and your job will be taken by another. Your spouse will be taken by another. Your property will be legally distributed among your heirs whereas you will be brought to account for every moment of life in this world.
According to the degree of affinity with others, the period they will spend to mourn you will vary. Eventually, you will be completely forgotten and assigned a special place on the shelf of memories.
Believe it or not, the above is nothing but the truth!
Hence, your story among humans comes to an end and another one will soon start with the truth, namely, the Hereafter - starting immediately after you passed away. At this very moment, you are all alone, with no glory, property, power, health, children, or spouse. And the grave which represents the first stage of the Hereafter – that is the real life – attends the scene.
Now,
The question that begs answering here is: *what did you prepare for this? What did you prepare for the grave and your final hour?!*
My People,
If we want to travel, or get married or go to school for our degrees, i am 100% sure that we plan and prepare, because this have huge impact on the success of our above mentioned activities.
But,
Having believed that we are on a journey relentlessly to meet our Lord, and we have been advised to collect enough good deeds for that. Instead of the fear of the day in which we will be layed in our graves, a day of accountability motivating us to be more engaged in a lot of good deeds - *"Like Tahajjud"* - the reverse is the case.
Because,
For every population of say - 20 persons, you hardly see 3 persons who observe Tahajjud CONSISTENTLY for a long time without missing. Am i not correct?
But why Tahajjud?
The Prophet (pbuh) said: “Indeed the first deed by which a servant will be called to account on the Day of Resurrection is his Swalat. If it is complete, he or she is successful, but if it is defective, he or she has failed. So, if something is deficient in his or her obligatory (prayers) then Allah (swt) will say: ‘Look! Are there any voluntary (prayers) for my worshipper?’ So, with them, what was deficient in his or her obligatory (prayers) will be completed" 📚(Tirmizi)
Remember that,
The Prophet (pbuh) said: "The best prayer after the obligatory prayers is the night prayer.” 📚(Muslim)
He (pbuh) added:
“O `Abdullah, do not be like so and so! He used to pray at night and then he stopped doing that”*(📚Al-Bukhari and Muslim
Therefore,
If u have not yet set ur phone alarm in a repeating mode, to wake u up for midnight nawafil (at least 2 rakaats) everyday till the end of ur life, pls do so immediately.
Let assume you wake up by 2AM, use 3minutes to perform ablution, 2minutes to get dressed, 5minutes to establish ONLY 2rakaat nawafil, 5minutes to make Du'a to Allah.. Total time spent = 15minutes. *Everything In 15minutes,* then, go back to catch up with sleep.
