 Today is Friday.


Allah says in the Qur'an,

Al-Jumu'ah 62:9


يَآأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓاْ إِذَا نُودِيَ لِلصَّلَوٰةِ مِن يَوۡمِ ٱلۡجُمُعَةِ فَٱسۡعَوۡاْ إِلَىٰ ذِكۡرِ ٱللَّهِ وَذَرُواْ ٱلۡبَيۡعَۚ ذَٰلِكُمۡ خَيۡرࣱ لَّكُمۡ إِن كُنتُمۡ تَعۡلَمُونَ


O you who have believed, when [the adhān] is called for the prayer on the day of Jumuʿah [Friday], then proceed to the remembrance of Allāh and leave trade. That is better for you, if you only knew.


So Friday is a great day in Islam and the Sabbath for all Muslims.

As reported in hadith,

Narrated Abu Huraira:

I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) (p.b.u.h) saying, "We (Muslims) are the last (to come) but (will be) the foremost on the Day of Resurrection though the former nations were given the Holy Scriptures before us. And this was their day (Friday) the celebration of which was made compulsory for them but they differed about it. So Allah gave us the guidance for it (Friday) and all the other people are behind us in this respect: the Jews' (holy day is) tomorrow (i.e. Saturday) and the Christians' (is) the day after tomorrow (i.e. Sunday)."."

Sahih al-Bukhari 876.


Friday is a sabbath day for all Muslims.

It is the day Adam created Adam, the day he entered paradise and it was the day he was removed from Paradise and it was the day he died..

Sunan acts on Friday,

Bathing Ghusl

chewing siwak

Attending to the jumu'ah prayer early

sending alot of salawat upon Rasulullah salla Allahu alayhi wasalam

Sitting for the Khutbah

Praying four nawafil after jumu'ah 

Making a lot of supplications before sun falls

Reciting surah kahf.

اللهم بارك علي محمد وآل محمد كمآ باركت علي ابراهيم انك حميد مجيد.

 Friday and it's dignity.
