That which Allah wills (will come to pass)! There is no power but with Allah!'}*, for this, it is better for anyone who becomes admirer of any of his wealth, household, children or status, he should say thank Allah knows what’s better for us. after seeing how his fruits has turned into, he was very amazed. {And he remained clapping his hands (with sorrow) over what he had spent upon it, while it was all destroyed on its trellises}, i.e. totally destroyed and perfectly ruined*. That was really against his hopes and wishes as he previously said: {I think not that this will ever perish}.

So, he regretted his previous acts and sayings that declared him as a disbeliever in Allah the Almighty and he could only say: {Would that I had ascribed no partners to my Lord!}. Then, Allah the Almighty says: {And he had no group of men tto help him against Allah, nor could he defend (or save) himself}, i.e. he could neither be helped by others, or even help himself. This is as the Statement of Allah that reads: *{Then he will have no power, nor any helper}, (At- tariq, 10)* and His Saying, {There (on the Day of Resurrection), Al- Walayah (protection, power, authority and kingdom) will be for Allah (Alone), the True God}, i.e. the irrefutable judgment and irresistible ruling on this and on all conditions will be for Allah the Almighty Alone.

{He (Allah) is the Best for reward and the Best for the final end}, i.e. trading with Allah is better than anything else as He gives the best of all rewards and with Him rests the best of all ends and goals. Finally, this story denotes three things:
▪One should not sell himself out to the luxuries of this present life of ours and should not be deluded thereof. Moreover, one should trust what is in Allah's hand more than what is in his own hand. One should put his entire trust in Allah Alone. Obedience of Allah should be one's first and final goal. Anyone who prefers anything to Allah and His obedience surely will be tormented thereof.
▪One should whole-heartedly accept the advice of his compassionate brother, as in rejecting his counselor advice there rests complete destruction and perfect ruin.
▪ Regretting goes in vain if the Divine Decree is already done.

"وَ اضۡرِبۡ لَہُمۡ مَّثَلًا  اَصۡحٰبَ الۡقَرۡیَۃِ ۘ اِذۡ جَآءَہَا  الۡمُرۡسَلُوۡنَ ﴿ۚ۱۳﴾

And narrate to them the (legendary) example of the people of a city (Antioch—an ancient city in Northern Syria) when there came to them some Messengers.

*[36:14] Yāsīn-يٰس*
"اِذۡ  اَرۡسَلۡنَاۤ  اِلَیۡہِمُ  اثۡنَیۡنِ  فَکَذَّبُوۡہُمَا فَعَزَّزۡنَا بِثَالِثٍ فَقَالُوۡۤا اِنَّاۤ  اِلَیۡکُمۡ مُّرۡسَلُوۡنَ ﴿۱۴﴾

When (at first) We sent to them two Messengers, they rejected them both. Then We reinforced (them) with a third (Messenger). Then the three of them said: ‘Surely, we have been sent to you’.                                                *[36:15] Yāsīn-يٰس*
"قَالُوۡا مَاۤ  اَنۡتُمۡ  اِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثۡلُنَا ۙ وَ مَاۤ اَنۡزَلَ  الرَّحۡمٰنُ  مِنۡ شَیۡءٍ ۙ اِنۡ  اَنۡتُمۡ  اِلَّا تَکۡذِبُوۡنَ ﴿۱۵﴾

(The people of the city) said: ‘You are but human beings like us, and the Most Kind (Lord) has not sent down anything. You are only lying.’

*[36:16] Yāsīn-يٰس*
"قَالُوۡا رَبُّنَا یَعۡلَمُ  اِنَّاۤ  اِلَیۡکُمۡ لَمُرۡسَلُوۡنَ ﴿۱۶﴾

(The Messengers) said: ‘Surely, our Lord knows that we have been sent to you.                                                         *[36:17] Yāsīn-يٰس*
"وَ مَا عَلَیۡنَاۤ  اِلَّا  الۡبَلٰغُ  الۡمُبِیۡنُ ﴿۱۷﴾

And there is nothing binding upon us except to communicate the message clearly.’_

*[36:18] Yāsīn-يٰس*
"قَالُوۡۤا اِنَّا تَطَیَّرۡنَا بِکُمۡ ۚ لَئِنۡ لَّمۡ تَنۡتَہُوۡا لَنَرۡجُمَنَّکُمۡ وَ لَیَمَسَّنَّکُمۡ مِّنَّا عَذَابٌ  اَلِیۡمٌ ﴿۱۸﴾

(The people of the city) said: ‘An evil omen has reached us from you. If you do not desist, we shall certainly stone you, and you will definitely suffer an agonizing punishment at our hands’.  *[36:22] Yāsīn-يٰس*
"وَ مَا لِیَ  لَاۤ  اَعۡبُدُ الَّذِیۡ فَطَرَنِیۡ وَ  اِلَیۡہِ تُرۡجَعُوۡنَ ﴿۲۲﴾

And what is the matter with me that I should not worship Him Who has created me and to Him (all of) you will be returned?

*[36:24] Yāsīn-يٰس*
"اِنِّیۡۤ   اِذًا  لَّفِیۡ  ضَلٰلٍ  مُّبِیۡنٍ ﴿۲۴﴾

Then, certainly, I would be in open error.                                                               *[36:25] Yāsīn-يٰس*
"اِنِّیۡۤ   اٰمَنۡتُ بِرَبِّکُمۡ   فَاسۡمَعُوۡنِ ﴿ؕ۲۵﴾

Surely, I have believed in your Lord, so listen to me (attentively).’

*[36:26] Yāsīn-يٰس*
"قِیۡلَ ادۡخُلِ الۡجَنَّۃَ ؕ قَالَ یٰلَیۡتَ قَوۡمِیۡ یَعۡلَمُوۡنَ ﴿ۙ۲۶﴾

(The disbelievers martyred him; then it) was said (to him): ‘(Come,) enter Paradise.’ He said: ‘Alas! Would that my people knew,                                        *[36:29] Yāsīn-يٰس*
"اِنۡ کَانَتۡ  اِلَّا صَیۡحَۃً وَّاحِدَۃً  فَاِذَا ہُمۡ خٰمِدُوۡنَ ﴿۲۹﴾

(Their torment) was nothing but a Mighty Blast, and there were they extinguished (dead like charred coal).

'Abdullah Ibn 'Abbas, Ka'b Al-Ahbar and Wahb Ibn Munabih and many others narrated a story of a town called Antioch (Antakiyah), governed by the king Antikhis Ibn Antikhis. This king used to observe idol worship. Allah Almighty sent him three Messengers whom he severely believed. The Messengers were: *Sadiq, Masduq and Shalom*. It is evidently apparent that they were Messengers sent by Allah the Almighty. Qatadah claimed them to be messengers sent by Jesus Christ. The same view was held by Ibn Jarir after Wahb after Ibn Sulaiman after Shu' aib Al- Jiba'i who added that: those messengers were called: Shimon, Jonah and Paul and the town was called Antioch.
