THE LIGHT OF THE TRUTH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawmul Ahad. 15th day of Muharram, 1446AH (Sunday, 21st July 2024). *_THE LIGHT OF THE TRUTH_*. Bismillah HuMan is a unique creature. ALLAH establishes human as HIS representative or deputy to govern over all other creatures in this world. HE is endowed with the faculty of REASON, which sets us apart from all other animals. Together with this faculty to discriminate and discern, man is given the freedom (free-will) to choose for himself a way of life worthy of his or her position as ALLAH'S representative or to fall lower than the lowest of all animals or creations. Man is born pure and sinless and is given the choice to do righteous deeds or indulge in sins. The Creator, out of HIS abundant Love and Mercy for mankind has not left us in darkness to discover the right path by trial and error alone. Coupled with our intellectual capability to reason, our Creator bestowed upon us DIVINE GUIDANCE that outlines the Criterion for TRUTH, knowledge, as well as the...

The importance of ikhlas(sincerity).

The importance of ikhlas(sincerity). Alhamdulillah, sincerity, Al Ikhlas is something very important as believers to have in any deed we do.  We should do it for the sake of Allah.  Allah says,  Al-Bayyinah 98:5 And they were not commanded except to worship Allāh, [being] sincere to Him in religion, inclining to truth, and to establish prayer and to give zakāh. And that is the correct religion. Without ikhlas, whatever good deed we do is never accepted.  As reported in the hadith,  Abdullah bin 'Abbas (May Allah be pleased with them) reported: Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said that Allah, the Glorious, said: "Verily, Allah (SWT) has ordered that the good and the bad deeds be written down. Then He explained it clearly how (to write): He who intends to do a good deed but he does not do it, then Allah records it for him as a full good deed, but if he carries out his intention, then Allah the Exalted, writes itdown for him as from ten to seven hundred folds, and eve...

The dignity of holding firmly to Quran and sunnah

The dignity of holding firmly to Quran and sunnah  Alhamdulillah, if a muslim wants success in this Dunya and hereafter should hold firmly to the Quran and Sunnah.  Allah says in Quran,  An-Nisa' 4:59 O you who have believed, obey Allāh and obey the Messenger and those in authority among you. And if you disagree over anything, refer it to Allāh and the Messenger, if you should believe in Allāh and the Last Day. That is the best [way] and best in result. Obedience to Allah and his rasool is what is called ibadah(Worship) Anything contrary to the Quran and sunnah is not Islam.  As reported in hadith,  Narrated Abu Musa: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "My example and the example of what I have been sent with is that of aman who came to some people and said, 'O people! I have seen the enemy's army with my own eyes, and I am the naked warner; so protect yourselves!' Then a group of his people obeyed him and fled at night proceeding stealthily till they were safe, while ...

Who is Allah and how can i feel his presence?

Who is Allah and how can i feel his presence?  Alhamdulillah, the word Allah came from Al and ilah meaning The God.  Al is definite in Arabic specifically used to something alone.  To know Allah, the Quran talks who Allah is.  Allah says in surah Ikhlas surah 112;1-4, Say:  He is Allah, One and Only.  Allah is Absolute, Everlasting.  He does not begeth neither is he begotten  And there is none unto like him in likeness...  Allah is alone and he also alone manages the affairs of his creations.  No one created Allah neither was he given birth to but he existed infinity.  Just as we know we have infinity, Allah is there forever.  If we believe there is infinity, something without end or beginning why is it had to believe Allah is infinite and forever  Allah says,  Ta Ha 20:111 And [all] faces will be humbled before the Ever-Living, the Self-Sustaining.[1] And he will have failed who carries injustice.[2] And to fee...

Face-Me-I-Slap-You

Even if we are very lucky to be admitted into Jannah (Paradise), our enjoyment will differ. Yes. Just like you see in this world 🌎 where some people live in one single-room *face-me-i-slap-you* type of apartment sharing toilet and kitchen facilities with other tenants😃. Yes. This is to tell you that even inside Paradise, *level-pass-level*😃 as the dwellers of Paradise will not be treated the same way. Evidence: Abdullah ibn Amr reported: The prophet (pbuh) said, *“Verily, in Paradise are rooms whose outside can be seen from inside and whose inside can be seen from outside.” Abu Musa said, “Who are they for, O Messenger of Allah?” The Prophet said, “For those who spend the night standing for the sake of Allah while people sleep.”* 📚Source: Musnad Ah‌mad 6436. Did you know what motivated Prophet Zakariyyah (a.s) to keep pushing it in Du'a making, asking Allah (swt) to grant them children despite his predicament and that of his wife? Maybe the story below will motivate all of us to make Du'a anytime we see Allah's hand work in somebody's life. This is because, all Provisions is From Allah *Brief story:* Maryam (a.s) was placed in the care of Prophet Zakariyya (a.s), who was her uncle (the husband of her maternal aunt). This was because Hannah had vowed to ‘set her free’ so she could devote her life to serving the Masjid. 📚[Tafseer Ibn Katheer] As Maryam (a.s) grew up, she naturally spent a lot of time in secluded worship. Closed away in her private prayer room, Zakariyya (a.s) was amazed that there was always food coming into the room through unknown source: *Scholars have said, 'Zakariyyah would find her with the fruits of ...

Allah (swt) says in the glorious Quran: كٓهيعٓصٓ Kaf, Ha, Ya, 'Ayn, Swad. [This is] a mention of the mercy of your Lord to His servant Zechariah When he called to his Lord a private supplication. He said, "My Lord, indeed my bones have weakened, and my head has filled with white, and never have I been in my supplication to You, my Lord, unhappy. وَإِنِّى خِفْتُ ٱلْمَوَٰلِىَ مِن وَرَآءِى وَكَانَتِ ٱمْرَأَتِى عَاقِرًا فَهَبْ لِى مِن لَّدُنكَ وَلِيًّا And indeed, I fear the successors after me, and my wife has been barren, so give me from Yourself an heir يَرِثُنِى وَيَرِثُ مِنْ ءَالِ يَعْقُوبَۖ وَٱجْعَلْهُ رَبِّ رَضِيًّا Who will inherit me and inherit from the family of Jacob. MISSING JUMUĀH DUE TO LECTURES OR Work ETC

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm As-Sabt. 14th day of Muharram, 1446AH (Saturday, 20th July 2024). *_MISSING JUMUĀH DUE TO LECTURES OR Work ETC_*. BismilLah.  It's important we understand as Muslims that Jumu‘ah prayer is obligatory for the able-bodied Muslim man, and that staying away from it without any efforts not to miss it is a grave sin. What is required is to be very keen to attend this prayer regularly, for it is a weekly prayer and weekly Eid for the Muslims, the greatest and best of the days of the week. So it is not permissible to be heedless or negligent about it. Almost all Scholars who qualify for Issuing Fatwas has said that: Jumu‘ah prayer is an individual obligation (fard ‘ayn); it is not permissible to miss it because of working hour or study, and the like. ALLAH, may HE be glorified, says “And whoever fears ALLAH - HE will make for him a way out And will provide for him from where he does not expect” [at-Talaaq 65:2-3]. From this verse it's clear that we must ...

The story to reflect.

The story to reflect.  Lets always learn to appreciate our selves. Alhamdulillah, there once lived in a city where there was a certain king.  This King had a small group of people he used to take control of and they were happy and he was happy with them. Oneday,. As he was with these people, a friend of him came and said, in the neighbourhood, i saw a large kingdom of people and they are also richer than us.. why don't we fight and take their land... So as they were thinking, the king said to his friend, do we think we can take over them.  The friend said, Yes we can!.  So he gathered a small band well equipped army to fight these people.  As he was arranging, there he entered the city and he was overcome by them and they fought and took over his kingdom and made him a slave.  He regretted and wished he never fought them and had appreciated what Allah has given to him.  This is a lesson for us. When Allah has blessed us with something whether big...

The importance of having faith in Allah.

The importance of having faith in Allah.  Alhamdulillah, having faith in Allah helps one to be strong in spirituality and physical.  Allah s.w.t will protects the person who stands firmly upon faith and will guide such a person.  Indeed, Allah s.w.t exist and the creator of everything.  To those who say Allah does not exist, look at the world and how it is designed, the planets and sun and moon all float in order and laws and none tresgress or do as it wants.  If the world came on its own, there will be lawless in the universe and everything cannot take place in order.  Allah says,  Yunus 10:5 It is He who made the sun a shining light and the moon a derived light and determined for it phases - that you may know the number of years and account [of time]. Allāh has not created this except in truth. He details the signs for a people who know. Allah says,  Yunus 10:6 Indeed, in the alternation of the night and the day and [in] what Allāh has cre...

The ten signs of qiyaamah.

The ten signs of qiyaamah.  Alhamdulillah, the qiyaamah is definitely a day that will take place but there are ten signs that will take place before that day comes.  As reported in hadith,  Hudhaifa b. Usaid al-Ghifari reported: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) came to us all of a sudden as we were (busy in a discussion). He said: What do you discuss about? They (the Companions) said. We are discussing about the Last Hour. Thereupon he said: It will not come until you see ten signs beforeand (in this connection) he made a mention of the smoke, Dajjal, the beast, the rising of the sun from the west, the descent of Jesus son of Mary (Allah be pleased with him), the Gog and Magog, and land-slides in three places, one in the east, one in the west and one in Arabia at the end of which fire would burn forth from the Yemen, and would drive people to the place of their assembly.. Sahih Muslim 2901. These are the ten major signs when it appears qiyaamah has already began The appearance...

The importance of knowledge in islam

The importance of knowledge in islam Alhamdulillahالعلم، knowledge is of great importance.  When Allah s.w.t was about to revealed the first revelation, he revealed Surah Iqra or Alaq meaning read.  The messenger of Allah salla Allaahu alayhi wasalam was asked to seek knowledge of his lord.  Allah says,  Muhammad 47:19 So know, [O Muḥammad], that there is no deity except Allāh and ask forgiveness for your sin[1] and for the believing men and believing women. And Allāh knows of your movement and your resting place. Allah says,  Aal-e-Imran 3:18 Allāh witnesses that there is no deity except Him, and [so do] the angels and those of knowledge - [that He is] maintaining [creation] in justice. There is no deity except Him, the Exalted in Might, the Wise. So one has to know that Allah alone has to be worshipped and without any partner. Even some scholars say knowledge is given predecence over worship because knowledge guides one to worship Allah well and fear him...

Sending blessings upon the messenger of Allah salla Allahu alayhi wasalam.

Sending blessings upon the messenger of Allah salla Allahu alayhi wasalam.  Allah says,  Al-Ahzab 33:56 Indeed, Allāh confers blessing upon the Prophet, and His angels [ask Him to do so]. O you who have believed, ask [Allāh to confer] blessing upon him and ask [Allāh to grant him] peace. One of the companion asked the messenger of Allah salla Allahu alayhi wasalam how to send him the salam,  Then the prophet PBUH said,  Narrated `Abdur-Rahman bin Abi Laila: Ka`b bin 'Ujra met me and said, "Shall I give you a present? Once the Prophet (ﷺ) came to us and we said, 'O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) ! We know how to greet you; but how to send 'Salat' upon you? He said, 'Say: Allahumma Salli ala Muhammadin wa 'ala `Ali Muhammadin, kama sal-laita 'ala all Ibrahima innaka Hamidun Majid. Allahumma barik 'alaMuhammadin wa 'ala all Muhammadin, kama barakta 'ala all Ibrahima, innaka Hamidun Majid." Sahih al-Bukhari 6357. This is the salawat the messeng...

Is performing ghusl on Friday sunnah or fard?

Question asked is,  Is performing ghusl on Friday sunnah or fard?  Alhamdulillah, taking a bath on friday is Sunnah as the messenger of Allah salla Allahu alayhi wasalam used to take ghusl on every Fridays and doing so as a reward when one goes to the Friday prayer.  As reported in hadith,  It was narrated that Samurah said: "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Whoever performs wudu' on Friday, that is all well and good, but whoever performs ghusl, the ghusl is better.'"'"  DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawmul Jumuat. 13th day of Muharram, 1446AH (Friday, 19th July 2024). *_DO YOU PREFER THIS WORLD OR PARADISE?_*. BismilLah.  ALLAH says in Qur'an 4:134 مَّن كَانَ يُرِيدُ ثَوَابَ ٱلدُّنۡيَا فَعِندَ ٱللَّهِ ثَوَابُ ٱلدُّنۡيَا وَٱلۡأٓخِرَةِۚ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ سَمِيعًۢا بَصِيرًا  Whoever desires the rewards of this life, then with ALLAH is the reward of this worldly life and of the Hereafter. means, O those whose ultimate desire is this life, know that ALLAH owns the rewards of this life and the Hereafter. Therefore, if you ask ALLAH for both, HE will enrich you, award you and suffice for you. As ALLAH says in Qur’an 2:200/202, But of mankind there are some who say:"Our Lord! Give us in this world!" and for such there will be no portion in the Hereafter. And of them there are some who say:"Our Lord!
