The dignity of holding firmly to Quran and sunnah
Alhamdulillah, if a muslim wants success in this Dunya and hereafter should hold firmly to the Quran and Sunnah.
Allah says in Quran,
An-Nisa' 4:59
O you who have believed, obey Allāh and obey the Messenger and those in authority among you. And if you disagree over anything, refer it to Allāh and the Messenger, if you should believe in Allāh and the Last Day. That is the best [way] and best in result.
Obedience to Allah and his rasool is what is called ibadah(Worship)
Anything contrary to the Quran and sunnah is not Islam.
As reported in hadith,
Narrated Abu Musa:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "My example and the example of what I have been sent with is that of aman who came to some people and said, 'O people! I have seen the enemy's army with my own eyes, and I am the naked warner; so protect yourselves!' Then a group of his people obeyed him and fled at night proceeding stealthily till they were safe, while another group of them disbelieved him and stayed at their places till morning when the army came upon them, and killed and ruined them completely So this is the example of that person who obeys me and follows what I have brought (the Qur'an and the Sunna), and the example of the one who disobeys me and disbelieves the truth I have brought."
Sahih al-Bukhari 7283.
Malik b. Anas, in mursal form, reported God’s messenger as saying, “As long as you hold fast to two things which I have left among you, you will not go astray:
God’s Book and His messenger’s sunna” He transmitted it in Al-Muwatta.
Mishkat al-Masabih 186.
May Allah guides us towards the Quran and sunnah. Aamin
