*During Tough Times*
[[--- 16th Outing ---]]-----------------------------
Allah (swt) say in Suratul Maryam, chapter 19 verse 23:
فَأَجَآءَهَا ٱلْمَخَاضُ إِلَىٰ جِذْعِ ٱلنَّخْلَةِ قَالَتْ يَٰلَيْتَنِى مِتُّ قَبْلَ هَٰذَا وَكُنتُ نَسْيًا مَّنسِيًّا
And the pains of childbirth drove her to the trunk of a palm tree. She said, "Oh, I wish I had died before this and was in oblivion, forgotten." 📚Maryam 19:23
*Tafsir ibn kathir:*
And the pains of childbirth drove her to the trunk of a date palm.
This means that her pains of labor compelled her to go to the trunk of a date-palm tree that was at the place where she had secluded herself.
She said: "Would that I had died before this,
She knew that she was going to be tested with the birth, the people would not assist her, and they would not believe her story. After she was known as a devout worshipper among them, they now thought that she had become a fornicating whore. She said,
(Would that I had died before this), She said this to mean before this situation.
and I had been forgotten and out of sight!
This means, "I wish I had not been created and I was nothing." - I was something unknown, forgotten and no one knew who I was.
*Lessons:*
In every situations we found ourselves, Allah (swt) sees our Pain and Struggles.
Maryam (as) was a chaste woman, committed to worshipping Allah, and yet Allah tested her with a miraculous pregnancy in a community where pre-marital sex would mean surely being out-casted, even being stoned to death. This mean that, no matter our level of obedience to Allah (swt), we will be tested in one way or the other in life.
Maryam (as) withdraws from her community alone, and while she suffers the pangs of childbirth, she cries out to Allāh with these heart-wrenching words.. Her emotive words are indicative not just of the physical pain and difficulty she is going through, but also the emotional trauma of being separated from her family, her fears of being cast away and her child possibly killed.
Obedient Servants Of Allah!
Adversities and comforts are a trial for Muslims.. Everything our Lord chooses for us,; be it good or evil, is for our own benefits. Yes. Whatever is chosen by our Lord, it cannot be changed and similarly whatever is not chosen by our Lord, we cannot attain it by any means.. But the great rewards are only for those among us who are patient with the Decree of their Lord.
Anxiety and impatience never prevent what our Supreme Lord has decreed for us. Complaining around and about is the opposite of patience😀. Therefore, patience is obligatory in every panic situations, trials and hardships in all that Allah (swt) had decreed for us.
Since we are all working and hoping to be admitted into paradise, Allah (swt) reminded us thus:
*"Or you think that you will enter Paradise without such (trials) as came to those who passed away before you?...."* 📚[Al-Qur'an 2:214]
Now,
HOW SOME MUSLIMS TODAY APPROACH THEIR LIFE CHALLENGES
In Islam, everything considered harmful either to the body, mind, soul or society is prohibited (haram), while whatever is beneficial is permissible (halal). Islam encourage Muslims to sincerely turn to Allah (swt) and prohibits Muslims from complaining around and about regarding their life challenges.. Islam also warn Muslims to stay away from any act of shirk, for it consume their eemaan (Faith).
Because,
Hafsah bint Umar (RA), reported: *“The sallah of whoever approaches a fortuneteller and asks him about anything will not be accepted for 40 days and nights.”*📚(Sahih Muslim)
Really? Is this serious like this? Yes and.....
