 *During Tough Times*

[[--- 9th Outing ---]]
-----------------------------

This life is only one brief stage on its journey from Allah to Allah.. And Allah (swt) informs us repeatedly that our temporary life on this earth is merely a trial, a test, an examination period.

Furthermore,

It is wrong for us to say *‘let us enjoy the journey and forget about the destination’* - and If you find yourself in a train, you should not enjoy the beautiful scenes before first ask: *why am I here? Where is the destination?*

So,

We should ask ourselves this question several times - *‘what is the purpose of life?’*

Now,

Before we continue with doing justice to the above topic, there is need to push us through the QUESTION & ANSWER segment between Allah (swt) and His Angels.

*Adam and His Children inheriting the Earth, Generation after Generation:*

Allah (swt) say in surah Al-baqarah - chapter 2 verse 30:

وَإِذْ قَالَ رَبُّكَ لِلْمَلَيِكَةِ

And remember ["O Muhammad"] when your Lord said to the angels,

Verily, I am going to place a Khalifah on earth - Meaning people reproducing generation after generation, century after century

Angels said to Allah: "Will You place therein those who will make mischief therein and shed blood!"

while we glorify You with praises and thanks and sanctify You."

Allah (swt) said to the angels in answer to their inquiry,

He (Allah) said:I know that which you do not know - meaning, *"I know that the benefit of creating this type of creature outweighs the harm that you mentioned, that which you have no knowledge of. I will create among them Prophets and send Messengers. I will also create among them truthful, martyrs, righteous believers, worshippers, the modest, the pious, the scholars who implement their knowledge, humble people and those who love Allah and follow His Messengers."*

And,

Al-Qurtubi said:

The statement the angels uttered was not a form of disputing with Allah's, nor out of envy for the Children of Adam, as some mistakenly thought. Allah has described them as those who do not precede Him in speaking, meaning that they do not ask Allah anything without His permission.

*Why are we tested?*

This is a very common question from Muslims, people of other faiths, or no faith—so it’s important to reflect on it. Yes. Lack of answers can sometimes distance people from their faith — especially if a person doesn’t understand why trials happen they can start to feel life is unfair or even that Allah (swt) is being unfair. But Allah is Al-Adl, The Just. He never wants ill for His servants, He only wants the best for us.

REASONS:

"[He] who created death and life to test you [as to] which of you is best in deed -  and He is the Exalted in Might, the Forgiving" 📚Al-Mulk 67:2

2️⃣ "...but His Will is to test you with what He has given you. So compete with one another in doing good. To Allah you will all return". 📚Quran 5:48

3️⃣ etc etc...

Servants of Allah!

There is a very important secret underlies the testing that takes place in this world. And believers who possess this secret, confront everything that befalls them with great patience. These people believe that not all our days will be the same. A day of sadness and another of happiness. A day of profit and another of loss. A day of hunger and a day of......

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will ...

HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum Al-Khamis, 22nd day of Jumaadal Uula 1447AH, Thursday, 13th November, 2025.  *_HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN_*. BismilLah.  When we help our brothers and sisters in Islam, in reality, we are helping ourselves. The Messenger of ALLAH (S.A.W) said: He who relieves the hardship of a believer in this world, ALLAH Azzawajallah will relieve his hardship on the Day of Judgment. He who makes easy what is difficult, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will make it easy for him in the world and the hereafter. He who conceals the faults of a Muslim, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will conceal his faults in this ALLAH Azzawajallah world and the Hereafter, for ALLAH helps the servant as long as he helps his brother. Source: Ṣaḥīḥ "Muslim 2699. AlhamdulilLah.  With this I hope with immediate effect we will all strive to help each other in any possible way such as making dua for each other, supporting our relatives and those in need in ou...

THE MUSLIM WOMAN AND HER OWN SELF

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm athalaatha, 3rd day of Rabeeul Awwal 1447AH, Tuesday, 26th August 2025. *_THE MUSLIM WOMAN AND HER OWN SELF_*. BismilLah.  Islam encourages Muslims in general to stand out among people, readily distinguishable by their dress, appearance and behaviour, so that they will be a good example, worthy of the great message that they bring to humanity. According to the hadith narrated by the great Sahabi Ibn al-Hanzaliyyah, the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam ) told his Companions, when they were travelling to meet some brothers in faith: "You are going to visit your brothers, so repair your saddles and make sure that you are dressed well, so that you will stand out among people like an adornment, for ALLAH (SWT) does not love ugliness." Reported by Imam Abu Dawud, 4/83, in Kitab al-libas, bab ma ja'a fi isbal al-izar. The Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) considered an unkempt and careless appearance, and scruffy clothes and furnishings, to be...
