 The dignity of fasting. 

Alhamdulillah, As today is monday, it is Sunnah to fast on this day. 

The messenger of Allah salla Allahu alayhi wasalam used to fast on this day and was asked, 

The prophet said this is the day i was born and the day the revelation came to me . 


Also today is 9th of muharram which is the day of tashuura and the prophet pbuh when he came to medina saw the jews fasting on the 10th of muharram. 

The messenger of Allah salla Allahu alayhi wasalam asked them why they use to fast on thks day. 

They said, it was the day Allah saved Musa A.S from fir'awn. 

So we use to fast and thank Allah on that day. 


So the prophet said if i meet another muharram, i will fast on the 9th and 10th day so as to be different from the jews. 

Sahih. 


Fasting on muharaam on the 10th day, 

The prophet peace be upon Him, i wish it will expiate the sins of the previous year. 

Sahih.

Alhamdulillah, it is clear from Quran and hadiths that any christian who dies believing Jesus is God or son of God and do not believe in prophet Muhammad Peace be Upon Him will enter hellfire.  DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm al-khamis, 20th day of Swafar 1447AH, Thursday, 14th August 2025. *_PURIFICATION OF THE HEART_*. BismilLah.  A sister asked me yesterday how we can purify ourselves to achieve the immense benefits mentioned in our reminder yesterday.  The command to purify our hearts from sins was an essential Islamic teaching ever since the early stages of the revelation in Mecca. This is known as “purification of the soul” (tazkiyyat an-nafs).   ALLAH Azzawajal says: He has succeeded who purifies the soul, and he has failed who corrupts the soul. Surah Ash-Shams 91:9-10. Also, ALLAH Azzawajal says: A day when there will be no benefit in wealth or children, but only in he who comes to ALLAH Azzawajal with a pure heart. Surah Ash-Shu’ara 26:88-89.  We learn from these verses that our success in the Hereafter depends upon the purification of our hearts in this life.
