Question asked can one speak without knowledge in the religion of Islam?
Alhamdulillah, it is not allowed for one to speak without knowledge in the deen.
Allah says,
Al-Isra' 17:36
And do not pursue[1] that of which you have no knowledge. Indeed, the hearing, the sight and the heart - about all those [one] will be questioned.
So if we do not speak what is right in the religion, we will be held accountable for it.
Allah says,
An-Nahl 16:25
That they may bear their own burdens [i.e., sins] in full on the Day of Resurrection and some of the burdens of those whom they misguide without [i.e., by lack of] knowledge. Unquestionably, evil is that which they bear.
So misguiding others, we shall bear their sins on the day of qiyaamah for misguiding them so Allah says we will bear their sins behind our backs.
The sahaba were cautious of disagreement or giving wrong fatwah in the deen without knowledge fearing the consequences.
May Allah guides and grants us knowledge that is beneficial to others and ourselves. Aamin
