The dignity of humbleness.
Alhamdulillah, humbleness is among the qualities of a believer.
The best of creation, Muhammad salla Allahu alayhi wasalam had the quality of being humble.
As reported in hadith,
Narrated Haritha bin Wahb:
Al-Khuzai: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Shall I inform you about the people of Paradise? They comprise every obscure unimportant humble person and if he takes Allah's Oath that he will do that thing, Allah will fulfill his oath (by doing that). Shall I inform you about the people of the Fire? They comprise every cruel, violent, proud and conceited person."
Sahih al-Bukhari 6071.
Among the qualities of people of jannah are those who people do not see them as important and nothing among peoples.
Narrated Abu Huraira:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Paradise and Hell (Fire) quarrelled in the presence of their Lord. Paradise said, 'O Lord! What is wrong with me that only the poor and humble people enter me ?' Hell (Fire said, I have been favored with the arrogant people.' So Allah said to Paradise, 'You are My Mercy,' and said to Hell, 'You are My Punishment which I inflict upon whom I wish, and I shall fill both of you.'" The Prophet added, "As for Paradise, (it will be filled with good people) because Allah does not wrong any of His created things, and He creates for Hell (Fire) whomever He will, and they will be thrown into it, and it will say thrice, 'Is there any more, till Allah (will put) His Foot over it and it will become full and its sides will come close to each other and it will say, 'Qat! Qat! Qat! (Enough! Enough! Enough!) .
Sahih al-Bukhari 7449.
Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:
Charity does not decrease wealth, no one forgives another except that Allah increases his honor, and no one humbles himselffor the sake of Allah except that Allah raises his status.
Sahih Muslim 2588.
Humbleness raises a person in the sight of Allah and whosoever tries to raise himself up, Allah brings him down.
The messenger of Allah salla Allahu alayhi wasalam was never arrogant and sit among the poor and his sahaba that he won't be recognised.
