ONE BEST CHOICE [[– Episode 10 –]]

ONE BEST CHOICE [[– Episode 10 –]] بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم A woman who has been married before has had the opportunity to learn from her past experiences. Deep in her heart, she understands what she wants to do differently to make her new relationship better, healthier, and stronger. She carries this wisdom as a quiet gift—something a woman who has never been married may not yet have acquired. Now, While children can sometimes serve as binding agents in first marriages, even troubled ones, stepchildren can sometimes become sources of tension and division in subsequent marriages. Children from previous marriages, if not properly managed, can make new marriages even more complicated. Indeed, the more children involved, the greater the potential for complications. Muslim Faithful, A child is a child, irrespective of whether you are the biological parent or stepparent. Now, Problems Caused by Stepchildren No. 3: Financial Stress When many of us consider marriage and begin se...

THE CONCEPT OF IṢLĀḤ (RECONCILIATION) IN ISLĀM: THE NEGLECTED DUTY (CONTINUED

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER Yaum As-Sabt | 19th Day of Jumādā al-Ūlā, 1448 AH | Saturday, 31st October, 2026 THE CONCEPT OF IṢLĀḤ (RECONCILIATION) IN ISLĀM: THE NEGLECTED DUTY (CONTINUED) Bismillāh. Allāh ‘Azza wa Jall says in Sūrah An-Nisā’, verse 114: Meaning: "There is no good in much of their private conversations, except for those encouraging charity, kindness, or reconciliation between people." (Qur’an 4:114). Reflect on this beautiful teaching. When people gather privately, their conversations can sometimes become filled with gossip, backbiting, accusations, and plans to hurt one another. However, Allāh ‘Azza wa Jall highlights noble deeds that bring goodness, including charity, kindness, and making peace between people. Perhaps you make a phone call. Perhaps you visit those who are at odds with one another. Perhaps you patiently listen to both si...

SHE TREATED HER FATHER'S WOUNDS AT UḤUD

FAJR REMINDER: SHE TREATED HER FATHER'S WOUNDS AT UḤUD Jumādā al-‘Ūlā 20, 1448 (31 October 2026) Fāṭimah Bint Muḥammad (Raḍiyallāhu ‘Anhā) was not merely the beloved daughter of the Messenger of Allāh (ﷺ); she was a cherished member of a family whose love, loyalty, and compassion remain timeless examples for the Ummah. The Prophet (ﷺ) loved her dearly, honoured her, and described her as a part of himself. Her marriage to ‘Alī Ibn Abī Ṭālib (Raḍiyallāhu ‘Anhu) further reflected a household built upon faith, sacrifice, and devotion. Their family bond was demonstrated not through affection alone but also through standing together during hardship and serving one another in times of need. One remarkable occasion that highlights this devotion was the Battle of Uḥud, when the Muslims faced grave danger and many were wounded. Fāṭimah (Raḍiyallāhu ‘Anhā) played a particularly touching role by tending to the wounds of her beloved father, the Messenger of Allāh (ﷺ). While Muslim women...

UNDERSTANDING THE SPIRITUAL JOURNEY OF ‘UMRAH (II)

FAJR REMINDER: UNDERSTANDING THE SPIRITUAL JOURNEY OF ‘UMRAH (II) Jumādā al-‘Ūlā 19, 1448 AH (Friday, 30th October, 2026) Alḥamdulillāh for another beautiful Friday. Last week, we began our discussion on the first ‘Umrah performed by the Prophet (ﷺ). Today, let us explore his second and third ‘Umrah. (2) The ‘Umrah of al-Qaḍā’ (7 AH) In the seventh year after the Hijrah, the Prophet (ﷺ) returned to Makkah with his Companions to fulfil the terms of the Treaty of al-Ḥudaybiyyah. This particular pilgrimage is commonly known as ‘Umrah al-Qaḍā’, meaning the compensatory or make-up ‘Umrah. According to the treaty's conditions, the Muslims were permitted to enter Makkah, perform their ‘Umrah and remain there for three days before departing. Consider the significance of this event: the very believers who had been prevented from entering Makkah the previous year were now performing Ṭawāf around the Ka‘bah. The Prophet (ﷺ) honoured the agreement and returned at the appointed time,...

THE CONCEPT OF IṢLĀḤ (RECONCILIATION) IN ISLAM: THE NEGLECTED DUTY (CONTINUED)

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER Yaumul Jumu‘ah | 18th Day of Jumādā al-Awwal, 1448 AH | Friday, 30th October, 2026 THE CONCEPT OF IṢLĀḤ (RECONCILIATION) IN ISLAM: THE NEGLECTED DUTY (CONTINUED) بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ Alhamdulillah for granting us the opportunity to witness another blessed Friday, the best day of the week. IṢLĀḤ (RECONCILIATION) IS A COMMAND FROM ALLAH AZZA WA JALLA, NOT MERELY A PERSONAL CHOICE. Allah Azza wa Jalla says in Surah Al-Hujurat, verse 10: Meaning: "The believers are but brothers, so make peace between your brothers. And fear Allah so that you may receive mercy." (Qur'an 49:10) Notice the language of this verse. Allah Azza wa Jalla does not merely describe reconciliation as a good thing to do; HE commands believers to make peace among themselves. But why? Because the bond of faith is too precious to be destroyed by h...

THE TREASURES OF JUMU'AH: DON'T LET THEM SLIP AWAY!

NOTIFICATION FOR YOU ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ THE TREASURES OF JUMU'AH: DON'T LET THEM SLIP AWAY! The day of Jumu'ah is filled with tremendous blessings, opportunities for forgiveness and rewards. Yet, many Muslims miss out on some of its greatest benefits simply because they are unaware of the proper etiquette of attending the Friday prayer. 1. PAY ATTENTION DURING THE KHUTBAH While the Imaam is delivering the khutbah, look around the mosque today. Some people engage in worldly conversations, press their phones, browse the internet, answer phone calls or distract themselves with unnecessary activities. These behaviours contradict the proper etiquette of listening to the khutbah and can deprive a person of its rewards. It is not just talking that should be avoided. Playing with your fingers, cracking your knuckles, fiddling with your clothes, twisting buttons or jingling your car keys are also distractions that should be avoided. ...

THE MUSLIM HOME (EPISODE 7)

MUSLIMS TILL DEATH AS-SALAAMU ALAYKUM WA RAHMATULLAAHI WA BARAKAATUHU. Let's begin tonight's Islamic education. OUR TOPIC: THE MUSLIM HOME (EPISODE 7) 🗓️ Thursday, 29th October 2026 18th Jumaadal-Ulaa 1448 AH ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 📖 PAGE 1 ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ✍🏻 Not allowing into the home anyone whose commitment to Islaam is not pleasing to you. The Messenger of Allaah ﷺ said: “The likeness of a bad companion is like the one who works the bellows. He will either burn your clothes, or you will smell a bad odour from him.” (Reported by Al-Bukhaari, al-Fat-h, 4/323). ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 📖 PAGE 2 ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ How often has the entry of corrupt and suspicious people into a home been the cause of enmity and division among family members? Allaah ﷻ curses the one who turns a wife against her husband, a husband against his wife, or causes enmity between a father and his children. This is also one of the ways through which Sihr (magic or witchcraft) may be brought...

THE CONCEPT OF IṢLĀḤ (RECONCILIATION) IN ISLAM: THE NEGLECTED DUTY (CONTINUED)

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER Yaum al-Khamīs | 17th Day of Jumādā al-Awwal, 1448 AH | Thursday, 29 October 2026 THE CONCEPT OF IṢLĀḤ (RECONCILIATION) IN ISLAM: THE NEGLECTED DUTY (CONTINUED) بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ Understanding the Meaning of Reconciliation in Islam The Arabic word Iṣlāḥ (الإصلاح) comes from a root associated with making things right, correcting what is wrong, and bringing about goodness. In the context of human relationships, Iṣlāḥ encompasses: Reconciling people who are in conflict. Reuniting estranged family members. Resolving marital disputes fairly and compassionately. Settling disagreements between friends, neighbours, and members of the Muslim community. Correcting misunderstandings before they develop into hatred. Restoring rights, rebuilding trust, and addressing the underlying causes of division. Iṣlāḥ is more than simply telling two people to shake hands and move on. It involves working towards genuine peace, justice, and the r...

A WIFE’S MAINTENANCE

FAJR REMINDER: A WIFE’S MAINTENANCE Jumādā al-Ūlā 18, 1448 AH (29 October 2026) بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم In Islām, a husband’s responsibility to provide for his wife is not a favour he grants at his discretion; it is a fundamental obligation. This responsibility includes suitable accommodation, food, clothing, and other reasonable necessities, according to his financial means and what is considered fair. Allāh (ﷻ) says: “Men are the protectors and maintainers of women, because Allāh has made one of them to excel the other, and because they spend (to support them) from their means…” [Sūrah An-Nisā’ 4:34] Sadly, some men overlook this important responsibility, forgetting that fulfilling their wives’ rights is a duty for which they will be accountable before Allāh. O husbands, providing for your families is not merely a worldly obligation; it can also become an act of worship when done sincerely for the sake of Allāh. Abū Mas‘ūd (raḍiyallāhu ‘anhu) narrated that the Prophet (ﷺ...

ARE YOU THE ONE?

ARE YOU THE ONE? بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ Dear Muslim Brothers and Sisters, Let us talk about something very important today. It is not necessarily about doing a lot of good deeds at once, but about doing good deeds consistently, even if they are small. You see! Allah loves consistency in worship. The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said: “The most beloved deeds to Allah are those that are done regularly, even if they are few.” 📚 Source: Sahih al-Bukhari 6464; Sahih Muslim 783. Think about this deeply. Imagine two people. The first person wakes up every night for three years and prays just two rak'ahs of Tahajjud. He remains consistent in this act of worship. The second person wakes up every night for 30 days and prays six rak'ahs. He begins with great enthusiasm, but after 30 days, he abandons the practice entirely. Both have performed acts of worship, but the first person demonstrates something beautiful: consistency, patience and perseverance in obedience ...

WHO GETS THE CHILDREN AFTER DIVORCE?

FAJR REMINDER: WHO GETS THE CHILDREN AFTER DIVORCE? By: Umm ‘Affān Jumādā al-Ūlā 17, 1448 AH | Wednesday, 28 October 2026 DIVORCE ENDS A MARRIAGE, NOT PARENTHOOD Divorce brings a marriage to an end, but when children are involved, the responsibilities of parenthood remain. Sadly, children often become the victims of disputes between divorced parents, with each parent seeking custody. What does Islām teach us about child custody following divorce? Is custody automatically granted to the mother, or does the father have an overriding claim? Let us examine this important matter in the light of Islamic teachings. What Is Ḥaḍānah (Child Custody) in Islām? In Islamic jurisprudence, ḥaḍānah refers to the care, protection, and upbringing of a child who requires custody following the separation of their parents. The issue is not as simple as declaring that the mother must always have custody or that the father automatically has the right to take the children. Islamic scholars have...

THE CONCEPT OF IṢLĀḤ (RECONCILIATION) IN ISLAM: THE NEGLECTED DUTY

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER Yaum Arbi‘ā’ | 17th Day of Jumādā al-Ūlā, 1448 AH | Wednesday, 28th October, 2026 THE CONCEPT OF IṢLĀḤ (RECONCILIATION) IN ISLAM: THE NEGLECTED DUTY بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ Today, I want us to reflect deeply on a subject that affects our homes, marriages, families, friendships, mosques, and the entire Muslim community. Given the seriousness of this matter, In shaa Allah, Azzawajal , we shall devote the rest of this week to reminding one another about this important topic. Our theme is: Restoring broken relationships, fulfilling our Islamic responsibilities, and seeking the pleasure and mercy of Allah Azzawajal. My dear brothers and sisters, we live in a time when people may spend years building houses, accumulating wealth, and pursuing worldly success, yet allow relationships with their own brothers, sisters, parents, children, or fellow Muslims to remain broken for years. Some families have not gathered together for years because of ...

THE REAL MEANING OF “NOTHING CAN HAPPEN TO US WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLĀH AZZAWAJAL” (CONTINUED)

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER Yaum ath-Thulāthā’ | 16th Day of Jumādā al-Ūlā, 1448 AH | Tuesday, 27 October 2026 THE REAL MEANING OF “NOTHING CAN HAPPEN TO US WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLĀH AZZAWAJAL” (CONTINUED) Bismillāh ir-Raḥmān ir-Raḥīm. Let us conclude this topic by reflecting on some important lessons we can apply in our daily lives. Lesson 1: Never become arrogant when life is going well. Our wealth, health, success, and opportunities are blessings from Allāh Azzawajal. Rather than becoming proud or looking down on others, we should remain grateful and use these blessings in ways that please Him. Lesson 2: Never despair when life becomes difficult. Our present circumstances do not define our entire future. Hardships are part of life, but they should never cause us to lose hope in the mercy of Allāh Azzawajal. Let us continue making Du‘ā’, taking the necessary steps, and trusting Him throughout the journey. Lesson 3: Stop destroying your peace by comparing your life wit...

THE LESSON OF MANNA AND SALWĀ

FAJR REMINDER: THE LESSON OF MANNA AND SALWĀ By: Umm ‘Affān Jumādā al-Ūlā 16, 1448 AH (27 October 2026) One of life's greatest tragedies is not the absence of blessings, but our failure to recognise their value because we have become too accustomed to them. What once brought tears of gratitude to our eyes can gradually become a source of complaints. Likewise, what we once prayed for so desperately can eventually become something we take for granted. This profound lesson is reflected in the story of Banī Isrā’īl in Sūrah al-Baqarah. Have you ever read this passage and wondered, “Honestly, wouldn't I also get tired of eating Manna and Salwā every day?” Before judging their response, let us reflect on the extraordinary favours Allāh bestowed upon them. Allāh rescued Banī Isrā’īl from the tyranny of Fir‘awn, delivered them from slavery and suffering, and allowed them to witness the miraculous parting of the sea. Then, while they wandered through a barren wilderness where f...
