ONE BEST CHOICE

[[– Episode 10 –]]

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

A woman who has been married before has had the opportunity to learn from her past experiences. Deep in her heart, she understands what she wants to do differently to make her new relationship better, healthier, and stronger. She carries this wisdom as a quiet gift—something a woman who has never been married may not yet have acquired.

Now,

While children can sometimes serve as binding agents in first marriages, even troubled ones, stepchildren can sometimes become sources of tension and division in subsequent marriages. Children from previous marriages, if not properly managed, can make new marriages even more complicated. Indeed, the more children involved, the greater the potential for complications.

Muslim Faithful,

A child is a child, irrespective of whether you are the biological parent or stepparent.

Now,

Problems Caused by Stepchildren No. 3: Financial Stress

When many of us consider marriage and begin searching for a life partner, we often have a standard picture in mind: meeting someone attractive and fun, someone whose company we genuinely enjoy, someone who shares our values and with whom we can envision spending the rest of our lives. Perhaps, we even imagine starting a family together.

But,

When stepchildren are involved, how many prospective couples take the time to:

  1. Decide how they and their future spouses will manage household finances before marriage?
  2. Discuss important financial matters before bringing stepchildren into the family?
  3. Agree on who will be responsible for paying which bills?

My People,

It is perfectly understandable to prefer marrying someone who has no children. However, if you choose to marry someone who has children from a previous marriage, you should be prepared to embrace those children with kindness, fairness, and compassion, seeking the countless rewards that come with doing good.

Allah (SWT) says in Surah Al-Kahf, verse 110:

"...فَمَن كَانَ يَرْجُوا۟ لِقَآءَ رَبِّهِۦ فَلْيَعْمَلْ عَمَلًا صَٰلِحًا..."

"So whoever hopes for the meeting with his Lord, let him do righteous deeds..."

📚 Surah Al-Kahf 18:110

Now,

Deciding How You and Your New Spouse Will Manage Household Finances

Couples who enjoy healthier and more stable marriages are those who communicate their expectations clearly from the beginning. Unfortunately, many couples fail to have these important discussions and instead operate on assumptions.

As a result, each person may have expectations that the other partner knows nothing about. Such assumptions can eventually lead to misunderstandings, disagreements, and financial conflicts.

Stepchildren Custody Agreement

Newly married couples are advised to make time to discuss child custody arrangements before entering into marriage. Such discussions should clearly establish important details, including the actual number of stepchildren, where the children will live, how often they will stay with each parent, and who will be financially responsible for their various needs.

These matters should be discussed openly and agreed upon to minimise misunderstandings and prevent avoidable conflicts in the new marriage.

.....To Be Continued.

HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum Al-Khamis, 22nd day of Jumaadal Uula 1447AH, Thursday, 13th November, 2025.  *_HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN_*. BismilLah.  When we help our brothers and sisters in Islam, in reality, we are helping ourselves. The Messenger of ALLAH (S.A.W) said: He who relieves the hardship of a believer in this world, ALLAH Azzawajallah will relieve his hardship on the Day of Judgment. He who makes easy what is difficult, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will make it easy for him in the world and the hereafter. He who conceals the faults of a Muslim, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will conceal his faults in this ALLAH Azzawajallah world and the Hereafter, for ALLAH helps the servant as long as he helps his brother. Source: Ṣaḥīḥ "Muslim 2699. AlhamdulilLah.  With this I hope with immediate effect we will all strive to help each other in any possible way such as making dua for each other, supporting our relatives and those in need in ou...

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will ...

BEST TIME FOR TAHAJJUD

*BEST TIME FOR TAHAJJUD* It is best to delay this prayer to the last third portion of the night. Abu Hurairah reports that the Messenger of Allah said: "Our Lord descends to the lowest heaven during the last third of the night, inquiring: 'Who will call on Me so that I may respond to him? Who is asking something of Me so I may give it to him? Who is asking for My forgiveness so I may forgive him?"' This is related by the group. 'Amr ibn Abasah reports that he heard the Prophet say: "The closest that a slave comes to his Lord is during the middle of the latter portion of the night. If you can be among those who remember Allah, the Exalted One, at that time then do so." This is related by al-Hakim who grades it sahih according to Muslim's standards, and at-Tirmizhi calls it hasan sahih. AnNasa'i and Ibn Khuzaimah also recorded it. Abu Muslim asked Abu Zharr: "Which late-night prayer is the best?" He said: "I asked the Messenger of A...
