WHEN ALLĀH IS WITH YOU (II)

🌙 FAJR REMINDER: WHEN ALLĀH IS WITH YOU (II)

🗓️ Jumādā al-Ūlā 4, 1448 AH 📅 Thursday, 15th October, 2026

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

WHEN ALLĀH IS WITH YOU, NEVER DESPAIR OF HIS HELP.

A believer must never allow the apparent strength or advantage of an opponent to weaken their trust in ALLĀH Azzawajal.

Consider the encounter between Prophet Mūsā عليه السلام and Fir‘awn. Fir‘awn possessed political power, commanded a formidable kingdom, controlled an army, and persecuted the Banī Isrā’īl. He believed his worldly authority made him invincible.

Yet, ALLĀH commanded Prophet Mūsā عليه السلام to lead his people out of Egypt.

When Fir‘awn and his army pursued them, the Banī Isrā’īl found themselves trapped between the sea ahead and the enemy approaching from behind.

By ordinary human reasoning, escape seemed impossible.

They cried out:

“Indeed, we are to be overtaken!”

📖 Sūrah Ash-Shu‘arā’ (26:61)

But Prophet Mūsā عليه السلام responded with words that should remain firmly rooted in every believer’s heart:

“No! Indeed, with me is my Lord; He will guide me.”

📖 Sūrah Ash-Shu‘arā’ (26:62)

What distinguished Prophet Mūsā عليه السلام was his unwavering trust in ALLĀH. He did not deny the danger or pretend that the enemy was powerless. Rather, he understood that no danger could place ALLĀH’s Power beyond reach.

ALLĀH commanded him to strike the sea with his staff, and the sea parted, providing a passage for the believers. Fir‘awn and his army pursued them, but they were ultimately drowned by the Decree of ALLĀH.

The very path through which the believers found salvation became the means of destruction for their pursuers.

🌿 DEAR MUSLIM, WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN YOU FEEL TRAPPED?

How often do we encounter challenges that make us feel there is no way out? We see the strength of an oppressor, the influence of an enemy, the burden of financial difficulties, or the seemingly hopeless nature of our circumstances, and we forget that ALLĀH can create an opening where none appears possible.

However, we must understand these accounts correctly. They do not mean that every believer will receive immediate, miraculous relief from every hardship.

Rather, they teach us to remain steadfast in obedience to ALLĀH, persevere through trials, and trust HIS Wisdom and Decree, even when we cannot yet understand how relief will come.

⚔️ THE BATTLE OF BADR: WHEN THE FEW OVERCAME THE MANY

The Battle of Badr offers another powerful lesson in reliance upon ALLĀH.

The Muslims faced a numerically superior Quraysh force. Yet their hope was not based solely on their numbers, weapons, or worldly strength. They turned to ALLĀH in supplication, seeking HIS assistance against an enemy threatening their community.

ALLĀH Azzawajal reminds us of this great favour:

“And already had Allāh given you victory at Badr while you were few in number. Then fear Allāh; perhaps you will be grateful.”

📖 Sūrah Āl ‘Imrān (3:123)

This verse directs our attention to the true source of their victory: the Grace and Help of ALLĀH.

Their small numbers did not prevent ALLĀH from granting them success. Nevertheless, the Muslims were required to participate in the battle, exercise discipline, and follow the Messenger of ALLĀH ﷺ. They took the necessary steps while recognising that the ultimate outcome rested with their Lord.

ALLĀH Azzawajal also says:

“[Remember] when you asked help of your Lord, and He answered you, ‘Indeed, I will reinforce you with a thousand from the angels, following one another.’”

📖 Sūrah Al-Anfāl (8:9)

ALLĀH further explains that this announcement was a source of reassurance and that victory ultimately comes from HIM alone.

📖 Sūrah Al-Anfāl (8:10)

🤲 TAWAKKUL IS NOT WEAKNESS

The lesson is profound: supplication and reliance upon ALLĀH are not signs of weakness. They are acts of worship through which we acknowledge our dependence upon the One whose Power is limitless.

However, the victory at Badr must not be misunderstood as a guarantee that every Muslim group will always defeat a larger opponent or that every conflict will receive the same miraculous assistance.

Badr occurred by the specific Decree and Wisdom of ALLĀH. Our responsibility is to remain faithful, prepare diligently, act wisely, and seek HIS Help without claiming knowledge of what HE has not promised us.

Dear brothers and sisters in Islam, remember these important lessons:

▪️ Never measure the Power of ALLĀH by the strength of your enemies.

▪️ Never allow fear to destroy your trust in your Creator.

▪️ Make sincere du‘ā and continue taking permissible, practical steps towards a solution.

▪️ Remain patient when relief does not come immediately.

▪️ Trust ALLĀH’s Wisdom, even when the outcome differs from what you hoped for.

When the way forward appears impossible, remember that nothing is impossible for ALLĀH. Your responsibility is to obey HIM, seek HIS Help, and remain steadfast.

📌 TO BE CONTINUED…

I have additional reflections to share. In shā’ Allāh, we shall conclude this topic on Sunday.

🤲 DU‘Ā

I beseech ALLĀH Azzawajal to preserve us upon goodness, strengthen our Īmān, grant us patience during trials, protect us from oppression, guide us towards what pleases HIM, and bless us with beneficial outcomes in this world and the Hereafter. Āmīn.

HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum Al-Khamis, 22nd day of Jumaadal Uula 1447AH, Thursday, 13th November, 2025.  *_HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN_*. BismilLah.  When we help our brothers and sisters in Islam, in reality, we are helping ourselves. The Messenger of ALLAH (S.A.W) said: He who relieves the hardship of a believer in this world, ALLAH Azzawajallah will relieve his hardship on the Day of Judgment. He who makes easy what is difficult, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will make it easy for him in the world and the hereafter. He who conceals the faults of a Muslim, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will conceal his faults in this ALLAH Azzawajallah world and the Hereafter, for ALLAH helps the servant as long as he helps his brother. AlhamdulilLah.  With this I hope with immediate effect we will all strive to help each other in any possible way such as making dua for each other, supporting our relatives and those in need in ou...

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will ...

BEST TIME FOR TAHAJJUD

*BEST TIME FOR TAHAJJUD* It is best to delay this prayer to the last third portion of the night. Abu Hurairah reports that the Messenger of Allah said: "Our Lord descends to the lowest heaven during the last third of the night, inquiring: 'Who will call on Me so that I may respond to him? Who is asking something of Me so I may give it to him? Who is asking for My forgiveness so I may forgive him?"' This is related by the group. 'Amr ibn Abasah reports that he heard the Prophet say: "The closest that a slave comes to his Lord is during the middle of the latter portion of the night. If you can be among those who remember Allah, the Exalted One, at that time then do so." This is related by al-Hakim who grades it sahih according to Muslim's standards, and at-Tirmizhi calls it hasan sahih. AnNasa'i and Ibn Khuzaimah also recorded it. Abu Muslim asked Abu Zharr: "Which late-night prayer is the best?" He said: "I asked the Messenger of A...
