DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER
Yaum al-Arbiʿāʾ | 3rd day of Jumādā al-Ūlā, 1448 AH | Wednesday, 14th October 2026.
LET'S MAXIMISE OUR REWARDS THROUGH OUR GOOD DEEDS
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
Allāh ʿAzza wa Jall says:
“O you who believe! Do your duty to Allāh and fear Him. And seek the means of approach to Him, and strive hard in His Cause (as much as you can), so that you may be successful.”
📖 Qur’ān, Sūrah Al-Mā’idah (5:35)
This verse reminds us of the importance of Taqwā, seeking nearness to Allāh through the means He has prescribed, and striving diligently in His obedience. Among the ways of seeking nearness to Him is performing righteous deeds sincerely for His sake. We can also use our righteous deeds as a means of Tawassul when making Duʿā, as demonstrated in the authentic narration of the three men trapped in a cave who supplicated to Allāh by mentioning their sincere good deeds.
Our beloved Messenger of Allāh (ﷺ) said:
“Do not belittle any good deed, even meeting your brother with a cheerful face.”
📚 Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2626
Dear brothers and sisters in Islām, let us make every moment count by doing good. Speak words that bring peace, use our wealth to benefit others, forgive those who have wronged us, support the needy, maintain family ties, and encourage our families towards obedience to Allāh ʿAzza wa Jall.
Remember, a small deed performed sincerely for Allāh can carry an immense reward. Never underestimate an act of kindness, a sincere Duʿā, a word of encouragement, or a helping hand. We never know which righteous deed may become a means of attaining Allāh's mercy and forgiveness.
Life is uncertain, and death can come unexpectedly. Therefore, let us not postpone doing good, seeking forgiveness, or making peace with others. Strive to make righteousness a consistent part of your life, and hope for a good ending through Allāh's mercy.
However, let us remember that good deeds must be accompanied by sincerity, conformity to the teachings of the Qur’ān and Sunnah, and respect for the rights of others. Our purpose is not to impress people or compete for their admiration, but to seek the pleasure of our Creator. The acceptance of our deeds ultimately rests with Allāh alone.
May Allāh ʿAzza wa Jall accept our righteous deeds, multiply our rewards, forgive our shortcomings, purify our intentions, bless our families, grant us a good ending, and admit us into Jannatul Firdaus without reckoning through His infinite mercy.
Āmīn, Yā Rabb al-ʿĀlamīn.
