FAJR REMINDER: YOU HAVE ANOTHER MORNING—NOW WHAT?

Bismillāh-ir-Raḥmān-ir-Raḥīm

Every sunrise brings another opportunity that many people will never receive again. Some went to bed last night hoping to see another day, but death overtook them before dawn. Their departure does not necessarily mean they were less righteous than those who awakened this morning; rather, their appointed time had arrived. As for you, your survival is not proof of your superiority or righteousness over those who have passed away. It is an opportunity Allāh (ﷻ) has granted you, and you have no knowledge of how many more mornings remain for you.

Servants of Allāh, do not take this morning for granted! The fact that you have opened your eyes, drawn another breath, and witnessed another dawn is a reminder that you still have an opportunity to repent from your sins, correct your mistakes, fulfil your obligations, restore the rights of others, and increase your righteous deeds. Allāh (ﷻ) says:

“And worship your Lord until there comes unto you the certainty (i.e. death).”

[Sūrah Al-Ḥijr (15): 99]

Reflect upon this command. Allāh has not instructed us to worship Him only when life is comfortable, when we are young, or when our worldly ambitions have been fulfilled. Rather, we are commanded to remain devoted to Him until death comes to us.

Now that you have been granted another morning, what will you do with it? Will you rise for Ṣalāh, remember Allāh, recite His Book, seek His forgiveness, assist someone in need, or give charity? Or will you spend the day chasing worldly interests while postponing the very acts of worship and obedience for which you were created?

Remember that time is both a blessing and a responsibility. Every moment that passes in heedlessness is a portion of your life that will never return. Ibn ‘Abbās (Raḍiyallāhu ‘Anhumā) reported that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:

“There are two blessings which many people waste: health and free time.”

[Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 6412]

How many people once enjoyed the health you may possess today but are now confined to hospital beds, wishing for the strength to stand and pray? How many people once had the free time you currently enjoy but can no longer perform a single deed because their appointed time has ended?

Do not wait until sickness teaches you the value of health or old age teaches you the value of youth. Do not wait until you lose an opportunity before appreciating the blessing you once took for granted.

Be grateful to Allāh for allowing you to witness another day, but let your gratitude be reflected in obedience. Genuine gratitude is not merely saying Alḥamdulillāh with the tongue; it also means using the blessings of life, health, wealth, knowledge, and time in ways that please Him. If Allāh has granted you another morning, let that blessing become a means of drawing closer to Him rather than drifting further away through disobedience.

Furthermore, remember that you are not guaranteed to see tomorrow. Allāh (ﷻ) says:

“No person knows what he will earn tomorrow, and no person knows in what land he will die.”

[Sūrah Luqmān (31): 34]

Therefore, do not postpone repentance until later, righteousness until old age, or reconciliation until a more convenient time. If you have wronged someone, seek to make things right. If you have neglected an obligation, return to it. If you have fallen into sin, repent sincerely and resolve to abandon it. If you have broken someone's heart or withheld another person's right, do what you can to rectify the matter.

Tomorrow is a possibility, not a promise. The opportunity available to you today may not be available tomorrow.

Dear servant of Allāh, do not merely celebrate the fact that you have awakened; make your waking up count! Begin your morning with Dhikr, guard your prayers, fulfil your responsibilities, show kindness to others, seek beneficial knowledge, and remain steadfast upon the obedience of your Lord.

You do not need to accomplish extraordinary things every day to make your life meaningful. Sometimes, a sincere repentance, an obligatory prayer performed properly, a kind word, a small act of charity, or the restoration of someone's right may become a means of attaining immense reward from Allāh. Never underestimate a good deed performed sincerely for His sake.

As another sunrise greets you, remember that your remaining time is decreasing, and your eventual meeting with Allāh is drawing nearer. The important question is not merely whether you have been granted another day, but whether you will use it in a manner that benefits you when you stand before your Lord.

You have another morning—but what will you do with it?

I beseech Allāh (ﷻ) to bless our remaining days, forgive our past shortcomings, accept our sincere repentance, guide us towards deeds that please Him, and grant us the ability to use our time wisely. May He make us among those who are grateful for His blessings, steadfast in His obedience, and prepared for the meeting with Him. May our final deeds be our best deeds, and may our final words be Lā ilāha illallāh.

Āmīn, Yā Rabb al-‘Ālamīn.

HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum Al-Khamis, 22nd day of Jumaadal Uula 1447AH, Thursday, 13th November, 2025.  *_HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN_*. BismilLah.  When we help our brothers and sisters in Islam, in reality, we are helping ourselves. The Messenger of ALLAH (S.A.W) said: He who relieves the hardship of a believer in this world, ALLAH Azzawajallah will relieve his hardship on the Day of Judgment. He who makes easy what is difficult, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will make it easy for him in the world and the hereafter. He who conceals the faults of a Muslim, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will conceal his faults in this ALLAH Azzawajallah world and the Hereafter, for ALLAH helps the servant as long as he helps his brother. AlhamdulilLah.  With this I hope with immediate effect we will all strive to help each other in any possible way such as making dua for each other, supporting our relatives and those in need in ou...

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will ...

BEST TIME FOR TAHAJJUD

*BEST TIME FOR TAHAJJUD* It is best to delay this prayer to the last third portion of the night. Abu Hurairah reports that the Messenger of Allah said: "Our Lord descends to the lowest heaven during the last third of the night, inquiring: 'Who will call on Me so that I may respond to him? Who is asking something of Me so I may give it to him? Who is asking for My forgiveness so I may forgive him?"' This is related by the group. 'Amr ibn Abasah reports that he heard the Prophet say: "The closest that a slave comes to his Lord is during the middle of the latter portion of the night. If you can be among those who remember Allah, the Exalted One, at that time then do so." This is related by al-Hakim who grades it sahih according to Muslim's standards, and at-Tirmizhi calls it hasan sahih. AnNasa'i and Ibn Khuzaimah also recorded it. Abu Muslim asked Abu Zharr: "Which late-night prayer is the best?" He said: "I asked the Messenger of A...
