DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER
Yaum ath-Thulāthā’ | 2nd Day of Jumādā al-Awwal, 1448 AH | Tuesday, 13th October, 2026.
LET'S APPRECIATE THE GIFT OF LIFE AND OUR BLESSING OF BEING MUSLIMS BY SAYING ALHAMDULILLĀH!
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
A rich man looking through his window and seeing a poor man searching through a dustbin might say, “Alhamdulillāh! Thank You, O Allah, for sparing me from poverty.”
A poor man who sees someone behaving irrationally on the street might say, “Alhamdulillāh! Thank You, O Allah, for granting me my sanity.”
A person struggling with mental illness who sees an ambulance carrying a patient might say, “Alhamdulillāh! Thank You, O Allah, for the blessings I still enjoy.”
A sick person in the hospital who sees a trolley carrying a deceased person to the mortuary might say, “Alhamdulillāh! Thank You, O Allah, for granting me another moment of life.”
And when a person dies, the opportunity to perform new deeds and express gratitude in this world comes to an end.
My dear brothers and sisters in Islam, why don't we make it a habit to thank and appreciate Allah, our Creator, for His countless blessings and for granting us another beautiful day?
Sometimes, we become so focused on what we lack that we forget to appreciate what Allah has already given us. We complain about our challenges while overlooking the blessings that surround us.
Remember, dear brothers and sisters, that there is immense beauty in saying Alhamdulillāh—not only when life is easy, but also when we are going through difficult moments.
Allah says in the Qur’an:
“If you are grateful, I will certainly give you more.”
— Qur’an 14:7
Let us cultivate the habit of saying Alhamdulillāh sincerely in every situation, while continuing to make du‘ā, seek solutions to our problems, and trust in Allah's wisdom.
We may not have everything we desire, but there is always something to be grateful for. Above all, let us appreciate the gift of Islam, the opportunity to worship Allah, and every new day He allows us to witness.
May Allah ‘Azza wa Jall guide us, protect us from the whispers and evil influences of Shayṭān, grant us grateful hearts, and make us among His righteous and thankful servants. Āmīn Yā Rabbal-‘Ālamīn. 🤲
