The Righteous Husband Exemplified by the Messenger of Allāh Muhammad (Blessings and Peace be upon him)* *Part 5

*The Righteous Husband Exemplified by the Messenger of Allāh Muhammad (Blessings and Peace be upon him)*

*Part 5*

Problems between the righteous people and individuals and families are natural. The difference between us and the companions is that the problem was soon resolved, and the issue was quickly solved, and the issue of stubbornness and persistence and long abandonment did not exist, but today this is worse, the problem continues, and involves courts, defamation, and bad rumours in society,  and people talk and violate teach others’ honour.

The example of the honourable Prophet, with his busy life, is the example of the best husband in history; his busy  schedule and preoccupations did not prevent him from giving his wives their due rights, even though he was the leader of the state, the carrier of the message, the commander of the army, and the teacher of the people. But none of this came between him and his wives, unlike many Muslims today who violate their wife's rights under the pretext of  busy schedule and numerous obligations.

The Prophet (Blessings and Peace be upon him) sought to remind the wives and husbands of the common rights. From Al-Husayn Ibn Muhsin that his aunt had come to the Prophet for a favour, when the Prophet said to her, “Do you have a husband?” She said: "Yes", he (Blessings and Peace be upon him) said: “How are you with him?”, she said, "I look after him, except for what I am incapable of." He (Blessings and Peace be upon him) said, “Look after  him. He (his treatment) is your Jannah and Hell.”

And the Prophet’s saying that the husband is the Jannah and Hell shows the great rights of the husband; a wife can enter Jannah for his pleasure and hellfire for his anger.

And we narrate the story of Umm Ad-Darda (R.A.) who explained Abu Darda’s action: 'that he engaged in worship over himself and over his wife's right’, until Salman warned him to take care of all the rights that ensued on him, the right of  Allah, the right for himself and for his wife. She summarized the situation and said: "Your brother Abu Ad-Darda has no need in this world!". And the Prophet (Blessings and Peace be upon him) said, confirming what Salman said:
“Your Lord has a right over you, and your soul have a right and your wife has a right, so give each their due right”. This was a great victory for Umm Ad-Darda. The negligence of the wife is a responsibility. He (Blessings and Peace be upon him) said: “Whoever gives his wife water to drink, he will be rewarded”. Al-Arbaad said: "I gave my wife water, and then I told her what the Messenger of Allah said."

The Prophet encouraged this work to bond the woman and her husband by the bond of love, and he (Blessings and Peace be upon him) wants the husband to declare this love in ways that captures the heart of the wife and make her live in an atmosphere of joy, happiness and companionship.

And it is not only the drink of water that the Messenger (Blessings and Peace be upon him) has encouraged achieving peace, love and harmony. Let us hear what Sa'ad Ibn Abi Waqqas says that the Messenger of Allāh (Blessings and Peace be upon him) said:  “Everything you spend for the sake of Allāh gets you a reward, even when you feed your wife with your hand."

The Sunnah of the Prophet (Blessings and Peace be upon him) preceded the so-called "Etiquettes". Imagine a couple at the dining table feeding each other, and imagine how happy they are.

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will ...

HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum Al-Khamis, 22nd day of Jumaadal Uula 1447AH, Thursday, 13th November, 2025.  *_HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN_*. BismilLah.  When we help our brothers and sisters in Islam, in reality, we are helping ourselves. The Messenger of ALLAH (S.A.W) said: He who relieves the hardship of a believer in this world, ALLAH Azzawajallah will relieve his hardship on the Day of Judgment. He who makes easy what is difficult, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will make it easy for him in the world and the hereafter. He who conceals the faults of a Muslim, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will conceal his faults in this ALLAH Azzawajallah world and the Hereafter, for ALLAH helps the servant as long as he helps his brother. Source: Ṣaḥīḥ "Muslim 2699. AlhamdulilLah.  With this I hope with immediate effect we will all strive to help each other in any possible way such as making dua for each other, supporting our relatives and those in need in ou...

THE MUSLIM WOMAN AND HER OWN SELF

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm athalaatha, 3rd day of Rabeeul Awwal 1447AH, Tuesday, 26th August 2025. *_THE MUSLIM WOMAN AND HER OWN SELF_*. BismilLah.  Islam encourages Muslims in general to stand out among people, readily distinguishable by their dress, appearance and behaviour, so that they will be a good example, worthy of the great message that they bring to humanity. According to the hadith narrated by the great Sahabi Ibn al-Hanzaliyyah, the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam ) told his Companions, when they were travelling to meet some brothers in faith: "You are going to visit your brothers, so repair your saddles and make sure that you are dressed well, so that you will stand out among people like an adornment, for ALLAH (SWT) does not love ugliness." Reported by Imam Abu Dawud, 4/83, in Kitab al-libas, bab ma ja'a fi isbal al-izar. The Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) considered an unkempt and careless appearance, and scruffy clothes and furnishings, to be...
