He was born Muhammad bn Ahmad bn Sahl bn Nasr, Abū Bakr Ar-Ramlī. He was an Ascetic, a Servant of Allāh who dedicated his life to the fervent worship of Allāh, learning the Dīn and teaching it. _*Pure Islamic Education*_                          _First  Hadīth Of The Day_  حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، قَالَ  حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ التَّيْمِيِّ، عَنْ  أَبِي عُثْمَانَ النَّهْدِيِّ، عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، أَنَّ رَجُلاً،  أَصَابَ مِنَ امْرَأَةٍ قُبْلَةً، فَأَتَى النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم  فَأَخْبَرَهُ، فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ ‏{‏أَقِمِ الصَّلاَةَ طَرَفَىِ النَّهَارِ وَزُلَفًا مِنَ اللَّيْلِ إِنَّ الْحَسَنَاتِ يُذْهِبْنَ السَّيِّئَاتِ‏}‏‏.‏ فَقَالَ الرَّجُلُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَلِي هَذَا قَالَ ‏"‏ لِجَمِيعِ أُمَّتِي كُلِّهِمْ ‏"‏‏.‏  Narrated Ibn Mas`ud:                        A man kissed a woman (unlawfully) and then went to the Prophet (ﷺ) and informed him. _*Pure Islamic Education*_                          _First  Hadīth Of The Day_  حَدَّثَنَا  عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ صَالِحِ  بْنِ كَيْسَانَ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أُمِّ  الْمُؤْمِنِينَ، قَالَتْ ‏"‏ فَرَضَ اللَّهُ الصَّلاَةَ  حِينَ فَرَضَهَا رَكْعَتَيْنِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ فِي الْحَضَرِ وَالسَّفَرِ،  فَأُقِرَّتْ صَلاَةُ السَّفَرِ، وَزِيدَ فِي صَلاَةِ الْحَضَرِ ‏" ‏‏.‏  Narrated `Aisha:                        the mother of believers: Allah enjoined the prayer when He enjoined it, it was two rak`at only (in  every prayer) both when in residence or on journey.
