 The dignity of Friday...

Alhamdulillah, Friday اليوم الجمعة means the day of congregation.

It is the day all Muslims meet to worship Allah s.w.t and an eid for Muslims.

Allah says,

Al-Jumu'ah 62:9

O you who have believed, when [the adhan] is called for the prayer on the day of Jumu'ah [Friday], then proceed to the remembrance of Allah and leave trade. That is better for you, if you only knew.


The messenger of Allah pbuh said,

The best day of the week is Friday for it is the day Adam was created, the day he entered Paradise, the day he was removed from paradise and the day he died, the hour shall not come except on this day.. ( saheeh Muslim).


An hadith of Abu hurayrah r.a saying,

I heard the messenger of Allah pbuh saying,

Friday is obligatory upon every Muslim except the woman, the traveller, the child and the sick.( ibn Hakeem and dharaqutni).


Sunnah acts of Friday.

Bathing ghusl

Chewing siwak.

Going to the prayer ground early.

Praying nawafil as one can before the imam.

Listening to the khutbah attentively

Making four nawafil after jumuah

Sending a lot of salawat to the messenger of Allah صل الله عليه وسلم.

Making a lot of dua.

Reciting surah kahf..

Alhamdulillah, it is clear from Quran and hadiths that any christian who dies believing Jesus is God or son of God and do not believe in prophet Muhammad Peace be Upon Him will enter hellfire. Allah says, Al-Ma'idah 5:17 They have certainly disbelieved who say that Allāh is Christ, the son of Mary. Say, "Then who could prevent Allāh at all if He had intended to destroy Christ, the son of Mary, or his mother or everyone on the earth?" PURIFICATION OF THE HEART

 DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm al-khamis, 20th day of Swafar 1447AH, Thursday, 14th August 2025. *_PURIFICATION OF THE HEART_*. BismilLah.  A sister asked me yesterday how we can purify ourselves to achieve the immense benefits mentioned in our reminder yesterday.  The command to purify our hearts from sins was an essential Islamic teaching ever since the early stages of the revelation in Mecca. This is known as “purification of the soul” (tazkiyyat an-nafs).   ALLAH Azzawajal says: He has succeeded who purifies the soul, and he has failed who corrupts the soul. Surah Ash-Shams 91:9-10. Also, ALLAH Azzawajal says: A day when there will be no benefit in wealth or children, but only in he who comes to ALLAH Azzawajal with a pure heart. Surah Ash-Shu’ara 26:88-89.  We learn from these verses that our success in the Hereafter depends upon the purification of our hearts in this life.
