 The best ten days of the year.

ALHAMDULILLAH, let's remind ourselves of the best ten days of the year.

As today is 1st dhul hijj, it is the best days among all days of the hijri calendar.

As reported in the hadith,

Narrated Ibn `Abbas:

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "No good deeds done on other days are superior to those done on these (first ten days of Dhul Hijja)." Then some companions of the Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Not even Jihad?" He replied, "Not even Jihad, except that of a man who does it by putting himself and his property in danger (for Allah's sake) and does not return with any of those things."

Sahih al-Bukhari 969.

As we know this ten days is more than a jihad in it when a deed is done.

Recommended acts is reciting Quran, speaking good and forbidding evil, and any form of good deed.

It is not obligatory to fast in these ten days but if one can, it is recommended.

A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported,

I never saw the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) fasting in the ten days of Dhu'I-Hijja.

Sahih Muslim 1176.
