May Allah forgive this ummah

 May Allah forgive this ummah.

I think we need a lot of istighfār these days. The rate at which people are watching nudity is higher than ever. And by nudity, i am not referring to porn, i m referring to the daily contents come across on our feeds on Instagram, Facebook, twitter, tiktok etc. Nowadays you can't read five feeds on your timeline without seeing two to three nudes.

In those days we get feeds based on what we visit or subscribe to. These days, you don't have to view nudes before seeing them regularly on your timeline. This syndicate is destroying our dignity, our health, our morality and our connection with God.

A while ago I made a plea to minister Pantami to ban tiktok, most of you might have seen the video. A colleague one day reached out to me and said. Brother Kiru why do you want tiktok to be banned? Are you trying to kill our one place of happiness? Tiktok refreshes the mind, when you see those naked girls you feel relaxed. And above all, who doesn't like seeing beautiful girl. I was shocked considering his age and religious background. But guess what... That's what majority of people think these days.

Health - our usage of mobile devices has increased more than ever before. Now we stay longer on it, which gradually affects our eye sight and nerves. A prediction revealed that people of this era are likely to lose their sight before the age of 60. For others, it gives them migraine and severe headache. For some, it causes insomnia, inability to sleep.

Dignity - lots of people lost their dignity on social media after making one mistake. Sometimes it is difficult to resist temptations. So once or twice or more, you write a nasty comment on someone that turns to a bad omen such as "Nice Boobs", or "I wish i can eat you", etc. Lots of them landed in trouble after they did that.

Morality - before tiktok, i never believed that we have many prostitutes in Nigeria and around the world. I never care much to believe prostitution exists until after tiktok. Now on tiktok, adultery, fornication, sodomy, etc are demonstrated in public. Women can show their bed room, toilet, breasts, backside without any fear. Now a child of 10 could actually have access to those explicit materials. Now our girls and boys see sex as normal, unlike before where people shy away from it. When i published that video on tiktok ban, you cannot imagine how many people contacted me threatening me, bcos i set a motion to kill their business e.g. Prostitutes. They sell faster on tiktok than in their brothel. Now prostitution has become internationalised. Sex Partners travel in order to meet their favourite tiktoker and sleep together.

Connection to God - lots of you have left Allah bcos you use more of your time on social media. You don't recite Qur’an as regular as before. You sometimes neglect salah. Bit by bit your iman is reducing. Your commitment to Allah is gradually disappearing. Many of you can testify to this. So when they say Qur’an will disappear before Qiyamah, this is the beginning. Nowadays, we have more apps and devices than copies of the Qur’an in our homes or offices. Time may come when your children will be asked do you know the Qur’an? They will say what's Qur'an.. 😔 Very sad.

Which is why we need a lot of istighfār and we need to distant ourselves from these menace. Else, we are heading to the cursed lands. May Allah protect us and our offspring. Aameen.

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will ...

HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum Al-Khamis, 22nd day of Jumaadal Uula 1447AH, Thursday, 13th November, 2025.  *_HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN_*. BismilLah.  When we help our brothers and sisters in Islam, in reality, we are helping ourselves. The Messenger of ALLAH (S.A.W) said: He who relieves the hardship of a believer in this world, ALLAH Azzawajallah will relieve his hardship on the Day of Judgment. He who makes easy what is difficult, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will make it easy for him in the world and the hereafter. He who conceals the faults of a Muslim, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will conceal his faults in this ALLAH Azzawajallah world and the Hereafter, for ALLAH helps the servant as long as he helps his brother. Source: Ṣaḥīḥ "Muslim 2699. AlhamdulilLah.  With this I hope with immediate effect we will all strive to help each other in any possible way such as making dua for each other, supporting our relatives and those in need in ou...

THE MUSLIM WOMAN AND HER OWN SELF

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm athalaatha, 3rd day of Rabeeul Awwal 1447AH, Tuesday, 26th August 2025. *_THE MUSLIM WOMAN AND HER OWN SELF_*. BismilLah.  Islam encourages Muslims in general to stand out among people, readily distinguishable by their dress, appearance and behaviour, so that they will be a good example, worthy of the great message that they bring to humanity. According to the hadith narrated by the great Sahabi Ibn al-Hanzaliyyah, the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam ) told his Companions, when they were travelling to meet some brothers in faith: "You are going to visit your brothers, so repair your saddles and make sure that you are dressed well, so that you will stand out among people like an adornment, for ALLAH (SWT) does not love ugliness." Reported by Imam Abu Dawud, 4/83, in Kitab al-libas, bab ma ja'a fi isbal al-izar. The Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) considered an unkempt and careless appearance, and scruffy clothes and furnishings, to be...
