*SEEKING GUIDANCE FROM ALLĀH REGULARLY*

*HE IS YOUR LORD, SO WHY DON'T YOU SEEK HIM?*

Allāh (ﷻ) has given Himself Names and attributes (siffat) so that we can know Him through His attributes. What is most amazing and beautiful about Allāh's (ﷻ) Names is that through them, you can see how your Creator recognizes the needs of His creation.

We all need sustenance; and He (ﷻ) is ar-Razzaaq, (The Provider), We all need love; and He (ﷻ) is al-Waduud, (The Most Loving), We all need protection; and Allāh (ﷻ) is al-Hafidh, (The Guardian). What we need the most is the very thing of which Allāh (ﷻ) has an unlimited supply.

But He (ﷻ) says:

*And your Lord says, Call upon Me; I will respond to you."...*

[Ghafir, 40:60]

And so sometimes we are put through things to know Allāh (ﷻ). Sometimes it is to open your eyes to your own flaws so that you can change. But whatever it is, if you realize that the answer to any problem is through Him (ﷻ), and that He (ﷻ) suffices all your needs, then your relief is already at hand.

Some of us find ourselves to be very lost sometimes. And this is alarming because we used to be a person who had direction. We thought we knew where we were going and what we were doing. But things starts to fall apart, internally. We Aren't sure anymore. And then we realized we have three choices, to continue to do what we are doing without putting in any extra thought, to give up entirely, or to re-assess and re-orient.

And because this feeling persist for a while, we realized something else. We come to know Allāh’s (ﷻ) attribute of Guidance. Sometimes this feeling of being lost can bring us closer to Allāh (ﷻ).

Abu Dharr (رضي الله عنه) reported Allāh's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying that Allāh, the Exalted and Glorious, said:

_*“O My servants, all of you are astray except for those I have guided, so seek guidance from Me and I shall guide you,”*_

(Saheeh Muslim, Hadith 2577).

As Allāh (ﷻ) gave Himself the attributes of Guidance and Light, how can we ever believe that we will be in darkness for too long?

Say, for example, you are drowning in a pool. Who will you usually call out for? The lifeguard. The lifeguard is already there, watching out for people, and because that is his job, when you call out to him he’ll jump in there to save you. Now Allāh (ﷻ) is over and above any analogy, but as Allāh (ﷻ) gave Himself the attribute of guidance, telling you that He (ﷻ) is The Guide and He (ﷻ) is The Light of the heavens and the earth, then how can you be lost for too long? Especially if you seek Him (ﷻ). Are we saying that lifeguards do their job better than Allāh (ﷻ)? Astaghfirullah definitely not. it's time we adhere to the commandments of Allāh (ﷻ) so that in any situation, He (ﷻ) can guide us through till success becomes our final abode both on earth and the hereafter.

May Allāh (ﷻ) keep guiding us all and protect us from any satanic influences.

*آمين*

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will ...

The questions of the grave?
