TAFSEER OF SUURAH AL- BAYYINAH (Qur’an 98), WITH CONTEXT, COMMENTARY, MEANINGS, and PRACTICAL LESSONS WE CAN APPLY IN OUR DAILY LIFE

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum Al-khamis, 10th day of Sha’abaan, 1447AH, Thursday, 29th January, 2026. *_TAFSEER OF SUURAH AL- BAYYINAH (Qur’an 98), WITH CONTEXT, COMMENTARY, MEANINGS, and PRACTICAL LESSONS WE CAN APPLY IN OUR DAILY LIFE_*. BismilLah.  This suurah is about the coming of clear truth through the Prophet ﷺ, the response of people to it, and the ultimate outcome for believers and disbelievers. The suurah was revealed in Madinah, addressing: Ahl al-Kitāb (Jews and Christians at that time) and also the Mushrikūn (polytheists). Many among them claimed they were waiting for clear proof from ALLAH Azzawajal before accepting the truth. ALLAH Azzawajal declares in this suurah that the clear proof has already come in the form of: The Messenger of ALLAH ﷺ. The Qur’an, containing pure, upright teachings, Yet, despite clarity, people differed not because of ignorance, but due to pride, stubbornness, and worldly interests.  Let's study this suurah.

ONLY BELIEVE IN ALLĀH!

FAJR REMINDER: ONLY BELIEVE IN ALLĀH!  By: Umm Affān Sha'bān 10, 1447 (29-January-2026) Let's discuss a Ḥadīth. Zayd Ibn Khālid Al-Juhanī (Raḍiyallāhu ‘Anhu) reported: “The Messenger of Allāh (ﷺ) led us in the morning prayer at Al-Hudaybiyah after it had rained during the night. When he concluded, he turned to the people and asked: ‘Do you know what your Lord says?’ They responded, ‘Allāh and His Messenger know best.’ He said: ‘[Allāh says] This morning, one of My slaves became a believer in Me, and one a disbeliever.’ The one who said, ‘We have been given rain by the Virtue of Allāh and His Mercy,’ is a believer in Me and a disbeliever in the stars. However, the one who said, ‘We have been given rain by such-and-such a star,’ is a disbeliever in Me and a believer in the stars.” [Ṣaḥiḥ al-Bukhārī 846] Before the coming of the Prophet (ﷺ), pre-Islāmic Arabs believed that the movement of stars caused rain. This belief persists in some societies today, especially among astrolo...

Pick Your Calls* [[--Episode 3--]]

Brothers and sisters. Ramadan is coming. Yes. May Allah (swt) chose you to see another Ramadan🙏. This is a huge gift. But this year, will it be just another month? Or will it change your life forever? Think about this: Only Allah knows how many Muslims will break their fast with an empty stomach this year. While we sit with our families and enjoy, a brother or sister will have nothing. This thought should break our hearts. Many of us just JUMP into Ramadan. We are not ready. And because we are not ready, we JUMP out of Ramadan the same way—empty. We get tired, we get hungry, but our hearts don’t change. We gain nothing. This must stop. This year should be different. My People, The secret is not inside Ramadan. The secret is before Ramadan. Yes. And the best way to get ready is to open your hands. Give. Give from what you love. Give before Ramadan even starts. Why? Did you remember the story of Abu Nasr...

PRACTICAL LESSONS FOR OUR DAILY LIFE FROM SUURAH AZ- ZALZALAH (Qur’an 99)

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum Arba'a, 9th day of Sha’abaan, 1447AH, Wednesday, 28th January, 2026. *_PRACTICAL LESSONS FOR OUR DAILY LIFE FROM SUURAH AZ- ZALZALAH (Qur’an 99)_*. BismilLah.  Let's conclude our studies of suurah Az-Zalzalah with some practical Lessons as follows; 1. Never Underestimate Small Good Deeds. A small act done sincerely can be heavy on the scale such as Saying SubḥānAllāh. Helping someone quietly. Removing harm from the road. ➡️ Let's do good consistently, even if it seems small. 2. Be Careful of Small Sins. People often say: “It’s just a little sin.” But ALLAH Azzawajal says even an atom’s weight will be seen. ➡️ Let's guard our tongue, eyes, and intentions. 3. Let's live With Awareness of Accountability. Wherever you are: At home, At work, Alone etc. Remember: The earth is watching by ALLAH’S command. 4. Let's Prepare for the Day We Will Stand Alone, No family. No friends. Only you and your deeds. ➡️ Let's ask ourselves daily: “Wou...

HAVING A GOOD END

FAJR REMINDER: HAVING A GOOD END By: Umm Affān Sha'bān 9, 1447 (28-January-2026) Is the end truly significant? Absolutely! A person has a good end when they pass away with faith, engage in virtuous actions, avoid actions that displease their Lord, and seek forgiveness for their sins. Anas Ibn Mālik (Raḍiyallāhu ‘Anhu) narrated that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “When Allāh wills good for His slave, He uses him.” They inquired, “How does He use him?” He responded, “He guides him to do good deeds before he dies.” [Sunan At-Tirmidhī 2142] In another report, the Prophet (ﷺ) stated: “When Allāh wills good for His slave, He sweetens him.” Upon being asked, “What is this sweetening?” He (ﷺ) explained, “Allāh guides him to do righteous deeds before he dies, then He takes (his soul) whilst in that state.” [Musnad Aḥmad 17784] It amazes me how some individuals are overly confident, acting as if they are guaranteed to die in a state of faith. In reality, the noblest of mankind, Prophet Muḥammad (ﷺ...

BismilLah.  Let's continue from yesterday's reminder. And mankind will say, “What is wrong with it?” That Day, it will report its news. Because your Lord will have commanded it. That Day, people will come out in scattered groups to be shown their deeds. So whoever does an atom’s weight of good will see it, And whoever does an atom’s weight of evil will see it. COMMENTARY & EXPLANATION. 3. People Will Be Shown Their Deeds. On that Day: No excu...

BE HAPPY WITH YOURSELF!

FAJR REMINDER: BE HAPPY WITH YOURSELF! By: Umm Affān Sha'bān 8, 1447 (27-January-2026) Why strive to change your skin color or see white as superior? Why aren't you content with your beautiful darker complexion? Do you believe lighter skin will earn more affection or enhance your beauty for another's approval? Regardless of being black or white, we are all human! The best among us is the one who fears Allāh the most. Allāh says: “O Mankind! We have created you from a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that you may know one another. Verily, the most honorable of you with Allāh is that (believer) who has At-Taqwā [i.e., one of the Muttaqūn (pious - see V. 2:2)]. Verily, Allāh is All-Knowing, All-Aware.” [Sūrah Al-Ḥujrāt (49): 13] Are you suggesting that Allāh erred in creating your features as they are? May Allāh save us from blasphemy. So why consider altering your nose? Many have lost their lives attempting to modify their bodies. Such is the outcome ...

Together Forever* [[--Episode 8--]]

Marriage is beautiful, but it can be hard. Many couples feel love growing weaker after marriage. This is not one big problem. It is many small things that happen slowly. First, bad communication and poor choices. Husbands and wives often stop talking deeply. They make choices alone, not together. This puts them on different pages. They feel alone, even when they are together. Marriage is a journey of learning. Yes. You must keep studying your husband or wife. Learn what makes them happy or sad. Learn how to help them. As you learn, you see more good in them. You also learn about yourself by how they love you back. *Understanding is the key.* Try very hard to understand your spouse's heart. When you both feel understood, you feel safe. You can solve problems and heal pain. This is how close, deep love grows. But there is a bigger reason: Pride. We all have pride. Yes. We want to be "right." W...

Pick Your Calls* [[--Episode 2--]]

My dear brother, my dear sister. Stop. Think for one moment. You are not just a body. You are a soul. A precious, eternal soul, living inside a body. You are the caretaker of two things: your physical self, and your spiritual self. A warning has come to us. The Prophet (pbuh) ascended the pulpit and he said, “Amin, amin, amin.” It was said, “O Messenger of Allah, you ascended the pulpit and said amin, amin, amin.” The Prophet said, *“Verily, Gabriel came to me and he said: Whoever reaches the month of Ramadan and he or she did not do acts of worship to gain Allah's forgiveness, then he or she will enter Hellfire and Allah will cast him or her far away, so say amin. I said amin....."* 📚Source: S‌ah‌i‌h‌ Ibn H‌ibba‌n 915 This is serious. This is about your soul's safety. Now, ask yourself: How do I prepare for this life-saving month? Most of us only prepare the BODY. We think about the food, the...

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum al-ithnayn, 7th day of Sha’abaan, 1447AH, Monday, 26th January, 2026. *_PRACTICAL LESSONS FOR OUR DAILY LIFE FROM SUURATUL AADIYAAT (Qur’an 100)_*. BismilLah.  Let's conclude on our studies of suuratul Aadiyaat with some practical Lessons as follows; 1. Practice Daily Shukr (Gratitude): Thank ALLAH Azzawajal before complaining. Keep a gratitude habit: “Ya ALLAH, thank You for…..” 2. Audit Your Relationship with Money. Ask yourself: Does earning distract me from ṣalāh? Do I give zakāh and ṣadaqah willingly? Do I trust ALLAH Azzawajal or my income more? 3. Serve ALLAH Azzawajal like the Horses Serve Their Master With energy, discipline, and consistency, Even when tired, Even when unseen 4. Purify Your Intentions. ALLAH Azzawajal will expose what’s in hearts. Renew intentions daily, even in work and family life. 5. Remember the Grave Often. It softens greed. It straightens priorities. It brings sincerity. If a horse can charge fearlessly for its mast...

The importance of reciting the Qur'an

The importance of reciting the Qur'an. Alhamdulillah, The Quran is a great book of humanity and there is no book that has a great miracle like the Quran. Those to whom We have given the Book recite it with its true recital.[1] They [are the ones who] believe in it. And whoever disbelieves in it - it is they who are the losers. The recitation of the Quran for every uruf(letter) is ten reward. As reported in Hadith, Muhammad IBN Ka'b R.A said, "I heard 'Abdullah bin Mas'ud saying: 'The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "[Whoever recites a letter] from Allah's Book, then he receives the reward from it, and the reward of ten the like of it. I do not say that Alif Lam Mim is a letter, but Alif isa letter, Lam is a letter and Mim is a letter." Jami'at At Tirmidhee : Vol. ...

BismilLahir Rahmanir Raheem.  Let's continue with our studies of suuratul Aadiyaat from yesterday's reminder.  Verses 6–8. Surely mankind is deeply ungrateful to his Lord, And indeed, he himself bears witness to this, And he is passionately devoted to wealth. 9–11. Does he not know that when what is in the graves is scattered, And what is hidden in hearts is brought to light, Surely their Lord is fully aware of them that Day. “Indeed, Man Is Ungrateful” (كَنُود) Kanūd means one who: Counts hardships, Forgets blessings, Complains often, Attribut...

FAJR REMINDER: UNDERSTANDING ALLĀH’S WISDOM IN REPEATED TRIALS

FAJR REMINDER: UNDERSTANDING ALLĀH’S WISDOM IN REPEATED TRIALS  By: Umm Affān Sha'bān 6, 1447 (25-January-2026) All praise belongs to Allāh, the Most Merciful, the Most Wise. We express our gratitude to Him in times of ease and in times of difficulty. In our moments of strength and vulnerability, we seek His Assistance, and we turn to Him with the understanding that every decree is purposeful. Peace and blessings be upon our beloved Prophet Muḥammad (ﷺ), who has shown us how to confront challenges with patience, hope, and steadfast faith. A recurring concern for many believers is the question of why we face repeated trials, such as illness. Islām teaches that Allāh tests His servants based on His perfect Wisdom—there is no element of randomness or neglect in His Dealings. Allāh states: “And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give glad tidings to the patient.” [Sūrah Al-Baqarah (2): 155] Trials may resurface b...
