ONLY BELIEVE IN ALLĀH!

 FAJR REMINDER: ONLY BELIEVE IN ALLĀH!

Let's discuss a Ḥadīth. Zayd Ibn Khālid Al-Juhanī (Raḍiyallāhu ‘Anhu) reported: “The Messenger of Allāh (ﷺ) led us in the morning prayer at Al-Hudaybiyah after it had rained during the night. When he concluded, he turned to the people and asked: ‘Do you know what your Lord says?’ They responded, ‘Allāh and His Messenger know best.’ He said: ‘[Allāh says] This morning, one of My slaves became a believer in Me, and one a disbeliever.’ The one who said, ‘We have been given rain by the Virtue of Allāh and His Mercy,’ is a believer in Me and a disbeliever in the stars. However, the one who said, ‘We have been given rain by such-and-such a star,’ is a disbeliever in Me and a believer in the stars.” [Ṣaḥiḥ al-Bukhārī 846]

Before the coming of the Prophet (ﷺ), pre-Islāmic Arabs believed that the movement of stars caused rain. This belief persists in some societies today, especially among astrologers. However, no star brings rain; only Allāh does. He states: “Verily, Allāh! With Him (Alone) is the knowledge of the Hour; He sends down the rain and knows that which is in the wombs. No person knows what he will earn tomorrow, and no person knows in what land he will die. Verily, Allāh is All-Knower, All-Aware (of things).” [Sūrah Luqman (31): 34]

Those who credit stars with creating and bringing rain fall into major disbelief. As for those who see stars merely as a cause of rain, they fall into minor disbelief, since stars are neither a Shar‘i nor a cause for rainfall.

Additionally, there's an unfounded belief that people can stop rain, especially during events. This is quite amusing. In truth, only Allāh can stop rain. If one cannot bring rain, one cannot prevent it. We should fully believe in the Oneness of Allāh in His Lordship, Worship, and His Names and Attributes. Our hearts must be attached to Allāh Almighty for bringing blessings and preventing hardships.
