TAFSEER OF SUURAH AL- BAYYINAH (Qur’an 98), WITH CONTEXT, COMMENTARY, MEANINGS, and PRACTICAL LESSONS WE CAN APPLY IN OUR DAILY LIFE

 DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum Al-khamis, 10th day of Sha’abaan, 1447AH, Thursday, 29th January, 2026. *_TAFSEER OF SUURAH AL- BAYYINAH (Qur’an 98), WITH CONTEXT, COMMENTARY, MEANINGS, and PRACTICAL LESSONS WE CAN APPLY IN OUR DAILY LIFE_*. BismilLah. 


This suurah is about the coming of clear truth through the Prophet ﷺ, the response of people to it, and the ultimate outcome for believers and disbelievers. The suurah was revealed in Madinah, addressing:

Ahl al-Kitāb (Jews and Christians at that time) and also the Mushrikūn (polytheists).

Many among them claimed they were waiting for clear proof from ALLAH Azzawajal before accepting the truth. ALLAH Azzawajal declares in this suurah that the clear proof has already come in the form of:

The Messenger of ALLAH ﷺ.

The Qur’an, containing pure, upright teachings, Yet, despite clarity, people differed not because of ignorance, but due to pride, stubbornness, and worldly interests. 

Let's study this suurah. 

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

I begin in the name of ALLAH Azzawajal, The Most Gracious, The most Merciful. 

1.

لَمْ يَكُنِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ وَالْمُشْرِكِينَ مُنفَكِّينَ حَتَّىٰ تَأْتِيَهُمُ الْبَيِّنَةُ

Meaning:

Those who disbelieved among the People of the Book and the polytheists were not going to abandon their ways until there came to them the clear proof. ALLAH Azzawajal says that the disbelievers would not abandon their ways until a clear proof came to them. 

2.

رَسُولٌ مِّنَ اللَّهِ يَتْلُو صُحُفًا مُّطَهَّرَةً

Meaning:

A Messenger from ALLAH, reciting purified scriptures. The Qur’an is described as “purified pages” free from falsehood, corruption, or contradiction. The message of Islam is not confusing or hidden; it is plain and accessible.

3.

فِيهَا كُتُبٌ قَيِّمَةٌ

Meaning:

Containing upright and correct teachings. A Messenger from ALLAH Azzawajal, reciting and teaching purified scriptures. To be continued tomorrow in Shaa ALLAH. *_May ALLAH Azzawajal keep guiding and protecting us from any satanic influences_*. Aameen.
