FAJR REMINDER: THOSE WHO HAVE TAQWĀ… By: Umm Affān Dhū al-Ḥijjah 16, 1447 (2-June-2026) Prophet Ibrāhīm (‘Alayhi Salām) was commanded through a dream to sacrifice his beloved son, Isma’īl (‘Alayhi Salām). This was undoubtedly one of the greatest and clearest tests of faith ever placed upon a servant of Allāh. Yet, without hesitation, Prophet Ibrāhīm (‘Alayhi Salām) hastened to fulfil what he had seen, demonstrating complete submission to the Command of Allāh and unwavering obedience to Him. Because of his remarkable devotion, Allāh (ﷻ) praises him, saying: “And of Ibrāhīm who fulfilled (or conveyed) all that (what Allāh ordered him to do or convey).” [Sūrah An-Najm (53): 37] As a reward for his sincerity and obedience, Allāh replaced Isma’īl (‘Alayhi Salām) with a sacrificial animal.
