 Muslims Till Death:

AS SALAAMU ALAYKUM WARAHMATULLAH WABARAKAATUHU . LET'S START TONIGHT'S EDUCATION. OUR TOPIC IS 👇.                                                                            *THE PILGRIMAGE TO MECCAH (HAJJ) * (Episode 3)

The best of these three types of Hajj is Tamattu. This is what the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) enjoined upon his companions and urged them to do.

Even if a person enters ihraam for Qiraan or Ifraad, then it is strongly recommended for him to change his intention to Umrah, then complete Umrah and exit ihraam, so that he will then be doing Tamattu.

He may do that after doing tawaaf al-qudoom and saai because when the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) did tawaaf and saai during his Farewell Pilgrimage, and his companions were with him, he told everyone who did not have a sacrificial animal (hadiy) to change his intention and make his ihraam for Umrah and to cut his hair and exit ihraam, and he said, Were it not that I have brought the hadiy with me, I would do what I have commanded you to do.

*The Meeqat*

The duties of Hajj and Umrah begin with Ihram at the 'meeqaat', which is any geographical location some distance from Makkah beyond which a pilgrim may not pass without being in Ihram.

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) specified particular places for ihraam, from which the person who wants to do Hajj or Umrah has to enter ihraam, and it is not permissible to pass them until he enters ihraam, because passing them before entering ihraam is transgressing one of the limits of Allaah, and Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
___*PAGE 4*___.
✍️...

And whoever transgresses the limits ordained by Allaah, then such are the Zaalimoon (wrongdoers) [Qur'an 2:229]

The prophet has specified five such points for assuming Ihram for people coming from various locations to Makkah. They are:
🔹. *Dhul-Halayfah*: This is the appointed place for the people of Madina. It is 435 KM from Makkah.
🔹. *Al-Juhfah*: For people of al-Shaam (Syria, Palestine, Jordan, Lebanon region) and Egypt. It is 180 KM from Makkah.
___*PAGE 5*___.

🔹. *Yalamlam*: For people coming from the side of Yemen. It is about 92 KM from Makkah.
🔹. Qarn al-Manaazil: For those coming from or through Najd or Taaif. It is 75 KM from Makkah.
🔹. Dhatu Irq: For those coming from Iraq, Khurasan, Central and North Najd. It is about 100 KM from Makkah.

*Proof from Hadith*:

In al-Saheehayn and elsewhere it is narrated from Ibn Abbaas (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) defined the meeqaat of the people of Madeenah as Dhul-Hulayfah;

that of the people of Shaam (Syria) as al-Jahfah; that of the people of Najd as Qarn al-Manaazil; and that of the people of Yemen as Yalamlam. And he said: And these meeqaats are for the people at those very places, and besides them for those who come thorough those places with the intention of performing Hajj and 'Umrah; and whoever is living within these boundaries can enter Ihram from the place he starts

Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 1524; Muslim, 1181.

It is also narrated in al-Saheehayn from Abd-Allaah ibn Umar (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: The meeqaat for the people of Madeenah is Dhul-Hulayfah. Narrated by Muslim, 1183. This is a statement which is in fact a command, but it appears in the form of a statement to emphasize that this is the way in which it should be done.

It was narrated from Aaishah (may Allaah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) defined the meeqaat of the people of Iraq as Dhaat Irq. Narrated by Abu Dawood, 1739; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh Abi Dawood, 1531.

In Saheeh al-Bukhaari (1531) it is narrated that the people of Kufa and Basra came to Umar ibn al-Khattaab (may Allaah be pleased with him) and said, O Ameer al-Mumineen, the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) stated that Qarn was the meeqaat for the people of Najd, but it is out of our way, and if we want to go to Qarn it is difficult for us.
___*PAGE 9*___.

He said: Take as your meeqaat a place that is parallel with Qarn on your usual route.

So the one who intends to do Hajj or Umrah must enter ihraam from these meeqaats when he comes to them, whether he comes by land or sea or air.

If he is coming by land he should stop there when he passes through if it is on his route, or he should stop at a place that is parallel with it if it is not on his route, and do what is required when entering ihraam, namely doing ghusl, perfuming his body and putting on the ihraam garments, then he should enter ihraam before leaving the place.
___*PAGE 10*___.
✍️...

If he is coming by sea and if the ship will stop when it is parallel with the meeqaat, he should do ghusl, put on perfume and put on the ihraam garments when it stops, then he should enter ihraam before it moves on. If it does not stop when it comes in line with the meeqaat, then he should do ghusl, put on perfume and put on the ihraam garments before it comes in line with the meeqaat, and enter into ihraam when it comes in line with the meeqaat.

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will ...

HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum Al-Khamis, 22nd day of Jumaadal Uula 1447AH, Thursday, 13th November, 2025.  *_HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN_*. BismilLah.  When we help our brothers and sisters in Islam, in reality, we are helping ourselves. The Messenger of ALLAH (S.A.W) said: He who relieves the hardship of a believer in this world, ALLAH Azzawajallah will relieve his hardship on the Day of Judgment. He who makes easy what is difficult, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will make it easy for him in the world and the hereafter. He who conceals the faults of a Muslim, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will conceal his faults in this ALLAH Azzawajallah world and the Hereafter, for ALLAH helps the servant as long as he helps his brother. Source: Ṣaḥīḥ "Muslim 2699. AlhamdulilLah.  With this I hope with immediate effect we will all strive to help each other in any possible way such as making dua for each other, supporting our relatives and those in need in ou...

BEST TIME FOR TAHAJJUD

*BEST TIME FOR TAHAJJUD* It is best to delay this prayer to the last third portion of the night. Abu Hurairah reports that the Messenger of Allah said: "Our Lord descends to the lowest heaven during the last third of the night, inquiring: 'Who will call on Me so that I may respond to him? Who is asking something of Me so I may give it to him? Who is asking for My forgiveness so I may forgive him?"' This is related by the group. 'Amr ibn Abasah reports that he heard the Prophet say: "The closest that a slave comes to his Lord is during the middle of the latter portion of the night. If you can be among those who remember Allah, the Exalted One, at that time then do so." This is related by al-Hakim who grades it sahih according to Muslim's standards, and at-Tirmizhi calls it hasan sahih. AnNasa'i and Ibn Khuzaimah also recorded it. Abu Muslim asked Abu Zharr: "Which late-night prayer is the best?" He said: "I asked the Messenger of A...
