TAFSEER OF QUR'AN 81, Suurah At-Takwīr (The Overthrowing) continues

Yaumul ahad | 6th day of Muharram, 1448 AH | Sunday, 21st June, 2026. *_TAFSEER OF QUR'AN 81, Suurah At-Takwīr (The Overthrowing) continues_*. BismilLah. 


Let's continue with our studies of suurah At-Takwīr.

Verse 11

وَإِذَا السَّمَاءُ كُشِطَتْ

"And when the sky is stripped away." ALLAH Azzawajal continues describing the extraordinary events of the Day of Judgment.

The word "كُشِطَتْ (kushiṭat)" means to peel off, remove, uncover, or strip away, like removing the skin from an animal or rolling up a covering.

The sky that appears vast, beautiful, and firmly established above us today will be removed by ALLAH Azzawajal. The familiar order of creation will come to an end, and the hidden realities of the Hereafter will become visible.


ALLAH Azzawajal says elsewhere:

"The Day when WE will fold the heaven like the folding of a written sheet." (Qur'an 21:104).

And HE says again:

"And the heavens will be split open, for that Day they will be frail."

(Qur'an 69:16). This verse reminds us that the heavens, despite their immense size and strength, are merely creations of ALLAH Azzawajal and will disappear when HE Azzawajal commands. Allahu Akbar. To be continued tomorrow in Shaa ALLAH. 


*_We ask ALLAH Azzawajal to keep guiding our hearts, protecting our Eemaan from every satanic influence, and granting us sincerity in worship until we meet HIM_*. Aameen.

 *BEST TIME FOR TAHAJJUD* It is best to delay this prayer to the last third portion of the night. Abu Hurairah reports that the Messenger of Allah said: "Our Lord descends to the lowest heaven during the last third of the night, inquiring: 'Who will call on Me so that I may respond to him?
