TAFSEER OF QUR'AN 81, Suurah At-Takwīr continues

Yaum Al-khamis | 10th day of Muharram, 1448 AH | Thursday, 25th June, 2026. *_TAFSEER OF QUR'AN 81, Suurah At-Takwīr continues_*. BismilLah. 


Let's continue with our studies of this beautiful suurah At-Takwīr:

Verses 19–21: The Qur'an Came Through Angel Jibreel (عليه السلام)

إِنَّهُ لَقَوْلُ رَسُولٍ كَرِيمٍ ۝١٩

ذِي قُوَّةٍ عِندَ ذِي الْعَرْشِ مَكِينٍ ۝٢٠

مُطَاعٍ ثَمَّ أَمِينٍ ۝٢١

19. "Indeed, this is truly the word conveyed by a noble Messenger;"

20. "Possessing great strength and having high rank with the Lord of the Throne;"

21. "Obeyed there (among the Angels) and trustworthy."


Commentary: 

These 3 verses are a direct response to the accusations of the disbelievers of Makkah at the time of Revelation who claimed that the Qur'an was poetry, magic, or the speech of a madman. ALLAH Azzawajal clarifies that the Qur'an is a revelation from HIM, conveyed to the Prophet ﷺ through the Angel Jibreel (عليه السلام). 


ALLAH Azzawajal describes Angel Jibreel A.S as noble because of: His purity.

His obedience to ALLAH. His honour among the Angels. His role in delivering revelation. He possesses immense strength granted by ALLAH Azzawajal. Among the examples mentioned by scholars: He overturned the cities of the people of Lut عليه السلام by ALLAH'S command. He descended with revelation to all the Prophets.

He appeared in various forms by ALLAH'S permission.


Angel Jibreel alaihi salaam could never betray the trust of revelation as he has no such choice or power but to act ONLY by the instruction from ALLAH Azzawajal. He conveyed ALLAH'S words exactly as commanded.

This establishes the authenticity and preservation of the Qur'an from ALLAH Azzawajal to Angel Jibreel and then to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Alhamdulillah. To be continued tomorrow in Shaa ALLAH.

 *BEST TIME FOR TAHAJJUD* It is best to delay this prayer to the last third portion of the night. Abu Hurairah reports that the Messenger of Allah said: "Our Lord descends to the lowest heaven during the last third of the night, inquiring: 'Who will call on Me so that I may respond to him?
