Let's continue with our studies of suurah Al-Infitar.

Verse 10

وَإِنَّ عَلَيْكُمْ لَحَافِظِينَ

"And indeed, over you are guardians (watching and recording)."

Commentary:

After reminding mankind of the reality of the Day of Judgment and rebuking those who deny accountability, ALLAH Azzawajal informs us that none of our deeds are lost or forgotten.

The "guardians" mentioned in this verse are the angels assigned by ALLAH Azzawajal to watch over and record our actions.

ALLAH Azzawajal says that every person has noble angels accompanying him or her throughout his life. They are not merely observers; they faithfully record every deed, statement, and action by ALLAH'S command.

This verse serves as a powerful reminder that although we may be alone from the sight of people, we are never beyond the knowledge of ALLAH Azzawajal, and our actions are being recorded.

The next verse explains who these guardians are:

كِرَامًا كَاتِبِينَ

"Noble scribes." (82:11)

They are honored angels who do not neglect or distort anything they are commanded to record. To be continued tomorrow in Shaa ALLAH.
