Set Yourself Free
[[-- Episode 2 --]]------------------
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
It hurts the most when the person who cut you is the one you once hugged. You never saw it coming from them. That is why the wound stays fresh for so long. Your mind keeps asking, "How could they?"
But here is a hard question:
Who is carrying that heavy box of anger right now?
Is it them?
No. They are sleeping well. You are the one who cannot rest. You are the one holding the hot coal.
So, let us talk about a serious reason to let it go.
Reason Number 1: A Trade You Cannot Lose
The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) gave us a beautiful promise. He said:
👉 “Whoever suffers an injury and forgives (the person responsible), Allah (swt) will raise his status to a higher degree and remove one of his sins.” 📚(Tirmidhi)
Think about that!
You let go of the anger ➡️ Allah (swt) raises your rank in Heaven.
You drop the revenge ➡️ Allah (swt) drops one of your own mistakes.
It is the best trade in the universe. You give away your pain, and Allah gives you a higher place and a cleaner record. How can we say no to that?
But wait... I know what you are thinking.
You think: "If I forgive them, doesn't that mean I am saying what they did was okay?"
NO! Absolutely not.
Forgiveness is not a stamp of approval on their bad act. They were wrong. Full stop. You are not saying they are innocent.
Forgiveness is you giving yourself permission to stop living in yesterday.
Imagine your feet are locked in heavy iron chains (shackles). That chain is the poison of pain. Every time you remember the hurt, you add more weight to that chain. It bars your feet. You cannot walk forward to the next better level of your life because you are stuck in the mud of the past.
When you forgive, you are not unlocking their cage. You are unlocking your own feet.
But,
Does letting go mean I must forget?
NO. Never.
Letting go does not mean you wipe your memory clean. You have a brain to remember. You must remember the lesson. You must be careful with them next time. You must protect your heart and your trust. That is wisdom!
But remember the lesson without carrying the hate.
Be careful with them without letting their sin live rent-free in your head😜.
The Final Truth:
Give yourself the gift of moving on. Yes. Your peace is too precious to keep giving it to someone who broke it.
Do it for your sleep. Do it for your heart. And do it for that huge reward waiting for you with Allah (swt).
Let go of the chain. Walk forward.
You deserve the next level.
To be continued...
